I am very happy when they called and said they were honoring our reservation. We stayed in a unit that has 2 bedrooms and a large bathroom and living room. The breakfast bar was fantastic. It had everything, I was impressed. I appreciate how the hotel staff presented a positive attitude while checking in many guests this weekend, they were great. Hopefully they will let me stay there next year.

I am writing to tell you all at the the Econo Lodge Bayview Thank You, You made our stay ( all 65 of us for the Juntunen Moilanen Family reunion) a memoriable event, the Staff was very helpful and friendly, Nathin you went way above and beyound what a noramal manager would do, Thank You. Your office staff, WOW again they did everything they could humanly do. Thank You again, the rooms from the cabins and to hotel rooms were GREAT!! CLEAN, VERY NICE super accomadations, great for a large group or if you just wanted to get away with your sweetheart, OUTSTANDING!!! everyone in our group loved it, and said they will return. We didn't have any problems with the Econo Lodge Bayview. The room was not large or fancy, but there was so much to do in the area, we only used the room to sleep and shower. We liked the little porch by our door within sight of the Lake. When I made the reservation, I didn't realize that the Waterpark and Breakfast Bar were shared with other hotels, but our children (ages 9 & 3) had more fun at the Waterpark when there were more other children playing there anyway. It was never too crowded when we were there, and located just a few steps across the parking lot. This type of Waterpark is ideal for smaller children who wouldn't enjoy the big slides at the outdoor Waterparks. Parents of little ones will appreciate no sunburn, no waiting lines, and going back as often as you like for free. I liked having the spa and pool set up so it was easy to hop from one to the other, with a good view of the Waterpark. Suggestion: a couple of easily visible clocks in the Waterpark/pool area would be appreciated. We never made it to the outdoor pool, but that looked nice too. It would be convenient if the Waterpark opened at 9 instead of 10 am. The Breakfast bar had a nice selection, including waffles, eggs, biscuits & gravy, cereals, fruit, bagels, bread etc. There was no wait when we went early on Thursday. There was quite a line at the toaster when we went late on a Friday morning. Suggestion: invest in a second or third toaster! There was still plenty of extra table space at the upper level eating area, so moving the line a little faster would not cause a seating problem. It would be nice if the breakfast bar opened at 6:30 or 7 instead of 7:30. Mackinaw City is a great place to stay for a few days and make some side trips. You can beat the big crowds to Mackinac Island by staying in Mackinaw City the night before and taking one of the early morning ferries. The Shipwreck Museum at Whitefish Point is an easy drive, and had more to see than we expected, plus a beautiful sand beach. Seeing the big ships up close at the Soo Locks is a memorable experience. When we come back, we would like to also visit Tahquamenon falls. Overall, the hotel room itself was adequate, the staff were nice and helpful, but the convenient location and the extras included with the room (Waterpark & breakfast) were the nicest things about our stay.
