"They need a coffee machine in the lobby for guests to use 24 7 days a week. The coffee machine at the morning breakfast was empty most of the time. Coffee machines too small for large crowds of eating there. They need to put syrup near pancakes also not just by waffle machine. Had tto stay in line to just get syrup for my pancakes."

"Clarion staff were so extra helpful and answered all of our silly questions and their suggestions were ones we had not even considered. Restaurants were equally accommodating with great food. "Location was beautiful. Atmosphere and rooms-they were able to accommodate our room change to the first floor. The bathroom had a tub so I should have asked for a shower or requested the handicap accessible room for my 91 years old mom. There was a musty smell in the room. Value was very nice. it was a clean hotel. Service desk and employees very welcoming and kind. We used the ferry ticket purchase. A continental breakfast would have been nice."

"Front desk staff and manager were very accommodating! The linens are upgraded, which was an unexpected treat. Easy shuttle to Arnold. Only negative is the thin walls - could hear the conversation and snoring in the adjacent room. Turned on air conditioner to block out the noise. "Everything was wonderful up until we came back from Mackinac Island to the door of our room standing open. I had hung out the Do Not Disturb sign. When I called the front desk to report our door open.They told me the sign had probably blown off with the wind and probably the wind blew the door open. She did ask me if anything was missing and I had told her, I didn\'t believe so,But the last thing I really wanted to hear was an excuse for why that door was open in the first place. Housekeeping had been there, and they should have made sure that door was secure. There was no excuse for that door to be open. They had jeopardized everything I had in that roomand all I got was an excuse for why that door might have came open. What I\'d really like to have heard first was, we\'ll have maintenance come look at it to make sure it is functioning correctly. Maybe even I\'m sorry that that had happened. She did manage to say that she was glad nothing was taken. But once again, still not the point of it all. I don\'t think anybody understands the panic that you feel when you look up and you seeYour hotel room standing open knowing that your personal belongings are in that room or possibly, they no longer are. I hope someone will take note of this and have some much needed conversations. I did call the hotel once we got home and they gave me a number to call for customer service. I left a message for that gentleman and he has not gotten back with me either. So your customer service at corporate level is in need of some help also."

"Booked a 2-night stay for a trip with my sister. Enjoyed having morning coffee on the balcony overlooking the beach. Great location; we walked to the ferry. Rooms were clean. The thermostat and the feels-like temp in the room didnt match, but it wasnt really a problem. The hotel staff were great! Selena checked us in and answered questions for us, including giving us advice on dinner and traveling to the island. The other staff members we came across were also friendly and helpful. This was my first time staying at Beach and Bay, but I plan to stay again."

"Seriously amazing. My granddaughter and I had the best time, and we loved our cabin. It was clean and well kept, the beds were so comfortable and the cabin was well stocked. Martin was a wonderful, kind host. W were within walking distance to everything we needed. We did the lumberjack show, so fun. Shepplers Ferry picked is up at the cabins very quickly, Martin called for us, then they shuttled us back also. This was a trip for my granddaughters 12th birthday and it was so much fun, we made beautiful memories.. my daughter(her mom) and I had stayed here 22 years ago for a mother daughter trip and the cabins were just as amazing. We will return hopefully not so long in between visits. We will stay here again."

"The hotel was fine but the most extraordinary thing was the lady on the reception. She was a great human being and helped me and my family immensely, in every way she could. Unfortunately doesn\'t her name but wanted to give a very big shout out for something specifically that she did for us. The room that I booked in this hotel was having just a queen bed which was a mistake to book and which understandably couldn\'t accommodate all my family (five persons, two adults and 3 kids). When I went inside and noticed how small it was I went back to her and informed that I didn\'t realize that the room would be so small for which she replied that she herself was surprised why I chose such a small room. I explained that it was my mistake and I didn\'t pay too much attention while I was making reservation. That nice lady without asking me upgraded to a bigger room and made this whole experience so awesome. Thanks to her."

"Motel was fairly clean. Beds were decently comfortable. Bathroom was spotless which was a huge bonus. Only complaint was it was slightly musty which is to be expected as Im sure theyre shut down for a majority of the year due to winter. But overall it was pretty good. However, there is access to the 2 water parks in the town and I DO NOT recommend either one. Went to check out both and they are both not only dated but the water at both was cloudy and dingy looking. You could not see your feet if you were brave enough to go in the water. The emerald cove one said it had waterslides which it did but they were blocked off and the pool beneath them was empty and gross looking. Also the lazy river was also cloudy and yellowish brown looking. I wouldnt let my child in either one especially since I wouldnt venture into either one as well. Mind you, we stayed the first weekend in August so you should think that they would be up to date and busy."

"The Cabins are located within walking distance to shops and restaurants up and down the main thoroughfare. My friend and I chose one of the free-standing 2 bedroom/2 tv cabins as it provided privacy for both of us. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was well stocked.
