"Room 178 on the 3rd floor was the best. Excellent room and great service."

"Rooms are clean but a bit old. Staff was very friendly and very welcoming. Lobby very nice"

"Nice hotel. Rooms were very nice and clean. The free breakfast was great .Fod was good and you had a lot of options to eat. Had a lakefront room with balcony overlooking the beach. Great views. Close to everything. Walked every where. Only thing missing was microwave in the room. Will stay here agajn."

"Large room."

"This was our 10th year in a row staying at the Best Western. Close to the Schepler\'s Docks, rooms are clean and comfortable. Hot breakfast doesn\'t disappoint, friendly office staff."

"Really nice place. Free breakfast was best hotel breakfast I have had in a very long time. Clean. Walking distance to shopping and restaurants and ferries. Beautiful beach. Clean rooms."

"Great location, quiet, beautiful view of the lake and everyone was very friendly."

"Nice clean roomGood breakfast"

"The room was clean, but could use some refurbishing. The bathtub was a bubble tub and difficult to step over the side to get in. It was a good value."

"Great!"

"Staff was very pleasant, informative. No overnight stay room service."

"We love staying there. Lake front room, we can see the water, the island, the Bridge, the ships, the sun in the morning!! All the employees are extremely helpful!"

"The location was convenient. The room was comfortable and clean. My only complaint is that there are no towel racks!"

"The cabin was clean and quiet. It was small. That is what we expected. could have used a shelf in the shower to set soap or shampoo. It was walkable to downtown."

"The bathroom sink didn\'t drain well, and the lighting over the table area wasn\'t good at all because the ceiling light fixture had one poorly working light bulb and the second bulb in the fixture was totally missing. There was no microwave in the room to use for reheating food. The location was within walking distance of Arnold\'s Ferry service to Mackinaw Island."

"It was everything we hoped for and more. The staff was friendly as can be. The activities made you feel like you were back in time. Great for the kids and us adults. Food was great and having the package was great too."

"Seemed very confusing on how to get to our room. We were told that there was no breakfast, but there was a sign that said breakfast area. The room was missing a few things like no kleenexes, no lid for the ice bucket and Ice Bucket did not have a bag. The basket on the coffee maker was broke. And there was no lights other than the lights right next to the bed. There was light switches by the door but they did nothing. And the lights that were near the door and above the TV and above the closet did not work."

"Walking distance to the downtown area. Room was clean bed was comfortable"

"Very good nice place"

"The city was clean and stores affordable. Had a great time"

"Everything and everybody was great. The gal that checked us in was very nice. She had us all laughing."

"A little outdated. Clean. Nice. Spacious. Friendly staff. Affordable. No complaints."

"Location was easy to find. Cleanliness was proper. Value was a little steep, did appreciate the shuttle to the dock and free parking."

"The staff was friendly. The room was clean."

"Loved this place. Beautiful view of Lake Huron. We had everything we needed in our cabin. The only thing that could have been better was the parking for the cabin we stayed in but other than that it was wonderful!"

"It was fantastic. Atmosphere, accomodations, and personnel were top notch"

"We will stay here again, great value, small and cozy with everything you would need. We will get a beach cabin next tune and bring some wood for a fire on the beach. Manager was very friendly and personable."

"Anniekia provided me with a very clean and comfortable room. A nice stay overall."

"Very clean rooms, friendly staff and affordable"

"Location was great . Rooms need a upgrade"

"The room had a beautiful view of the bridge and Mackinaw island"

"Friendly staff. Great service. Great amenities. Clean rooms. Provided everything needed"

"The room wasn\'t as nice as pictures indicated- there were some things broken, and it smelled a little funky. The refrigerator leaked. The AC was incredibly loud and blew directly onto one side of the bed so we had to turn it off at night so he wouldn\'t freeze and the noise wouldn\'t keep us awake.the view was nice though."

"Our room was newly renovated, looked very nice. Beds were comfortable and sheets were tight you could bounce a quarter. We had a lakefront room with balcony, which was great for the sunrise! We were able to get \"Ugly Anne\" sunset cruise vouchers through the hotel desk. The cruise was excellent and Capt Chris was superb. I would highly recommend the cruise as well as the Blue Water. We had a great stay and will be back."

"Everything was great... Location, Cleanliness, Value and Staff."

"Great location to ferry. Nice grass patch for the dogs to use. Clean rooms. No real amenities, the hotel next door has a beach and if you want breakfast youd have to walk to the next door hotel. Perfect for a quick one night stop before the island"

"Nice stay. Clean rooms. Enjoyable time. Only down thing: could not connect to wi-fi."

"I had a nice stay. I loved the room with the balcony and it was spacious it was quiet and relaxing. Also clean"

"Hotel was convenient to get to and close to restaurants and shops in Mackinaw City. The staff at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Note that there is no breakfast service at this hotel. The room was clean, but was missing wash clothes and hand towels. Many items need a refresh, like the hall/elevator carpet and vanity in bathroom which are showing significant wear and tear. We were on the 3rd floor and the ice machine was broken, had to go down to the 2nd floor to get ice. Overall it\'s a decent/average hotel."

"The best"

"Easy access..."

"The hotel was close enough to any place I wanted to go. Casino, downtown, expressway. My room was clean, and had a view of Lake Huron and Mackinaw Island. Very nice pool and hot tub. The employees I had contact with were very friendly and helped answer all my questions."

"Great location, nice rooms, beds not so great, very clean"

"Very nice friendly people clean rooms"

"The beach view was amazing! Waking up to such a beautiful view of the beach, bridge, and water was truly a wonderful experience. Considering the budget, I would rate this hotel 10/10. Although a few things were not up to the mark, the stunning view and overall experience made it totally worth it. Great value for money!"

"We enjoyed our stay. Location was great right on the lake. Free shuttle to the ferry. Room was large and clean. Young man at front desk was great and always working."

"For myself the place was enough. However, for others with kids, the pool was colder than the lake and was not kept up as far as being clean. They also said hot tub was unusable. Internet & WIFI was lacking, very slow and kept getting kicked off WIFI. TV channels and guide was hard to follow so gave up on that. Otherwise okay"

"We did have to drive over to the Thunderbird hotel to get checked in but that was just a mild inconvenience. The room was a typical small older hotel but was clean. The only real issue was the beds were very uncomfortable. For the price and and one night stay it was great."

"I\'ve stayed at Starlite before. It\'s peaceful, quiet and AFFORDABLE. I travel on a VERY TIGHT BUDGET and cannot afford all those fancy hotels and motels. Please keep Starlite AFFORDABLE. I WILL return there again. Thank You Starlite. And YES the room was clean. I liked it had a fridge, microwave and even a hairdryer. Thanks again."

"Love the location, weve stayed here before we will stay again. The rooms were nice. We had a very good time. Thank you."

"Rooms are dated looking but they are clean, comfortable, and very affordable. All the essentials are there: A bed(s) with clean crisp bedding, several comfy pillows, a mini fridge, small microwave, hairdryer, plenty of bath towels, a small coffee maker with packets of regular and decaf, (and individually wrapped spoons, napkins and sweeteners) and black-out curtains for complete darkness for a good night\'s sleep. Though I booked weeks in advance there was plenty of vacancy making the motel a quiet place overall yet located to just about everything Mackinaw City has to offer. This is my third stay at the Starlite Budget Inn -- a place to drop off my bags for the day while I explore and place to lay my head at night. The staff are friendly and helpful with check-ins and check-outs easy and quick. If you\'re not fancy and like a great value be sure to visit."

"Modest motel. Clean and friendly staff. Walking distance from downtown. Would definitely stay again."

"It needed to be updated in the bathroom. Paper falling off. Mirror was partly black. The place was clean, just needs updating. Part of our door trim was broken off and shoved behind our TV."

"The location is great. We had a waterfront bridge-view room. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The refrigerator was old. The TV was old and quite small. Guest-size soap, etc were nice.Unfortunately, the sliding glass door didn\'t work, so we couldn\'t step out onto the deck.We would return knowing we got what we paid for."

"Very pleased great value for room price"

"Only thing I wish was that the beach was more combed and a lot of overgrown plants in general. Over all great place to stay (-some of the lights might be out in bridge view 25) super close to town and the ferry. We also spent time downtown since there was an event going on (car show)"

"Excellent budget hotel. Definitely would stay again. Rooms were clean. Housekeeping does not clean room daily during your stay and it is odd to go to the next hotel for check-in. Hotel needs some maintenance but was clean."

"The hotel was fine but the most extraordinary thing was the lady on the reception. She was a great human being and helped me and my family immensely, in every way she could. Unfortunately doesn\'t her name but wanted to give a very big shout out for something specifically that she did for us. The room that I booked in this hotel was having just a queen bed which was a mistake to book and which understandably couldn\'t accommodate all my family (five persons, two adults and 3 kids). When I went inside and noticed how small it was I went back to her and informed that I didn\'t realize that the room would be so small for which she replied that she herself was surprised why I chose such a small room. I explained that it was my mistake and I didn\'t pay too much attention while I was making reservation. That nice lady without asking me upgraded to a bigger room and made this whole experience so awesome. Thanks to her."

"Very cleanGreat location for the ferry and walking to downtown.Might need some new lampshades on the big lights. No hair dryer?"

"Very nice accommodations. The room was clean, staff was friendly and a beautiful view of the room."

"We were looking for a place to sleep. Not hang out in the room. It fit our needs perfectly. They are obviously remodeling and have not finished. At this point it just needs the finishing touches. Mirror in the bathroom & some shelves in there. Will definitely stay again!"

"The view is absolutely stunning, nice sandy beach. The room had the amenities I needed. Wah they had a light by the drive at night to see going in. WiFi was non existent. Room was surface clean but could use some deep cleaning."

"Clean rooms. nice staff"

"Clean Quiet Close cheap"

"Friendly staff, comfortable room and reasonable price. Easy to walk to dine, shop and to the ferry. Able to purchase ferry & Fort tickets at the hotel so we were ready for a nice visit to the island."

"Room was commensurate with the price."

"Quiet, clean, awesome view. Low price, so you get what you pay for.Great view for the price, location is good too."

"This is not your luxury, 5 star motel, but a classic Mom and Pop. It is removed from the hustle and bustle of the congested area of Mackinaw City, which is part of the allure. It is an older facility, I have been coming for 30+ years. It is clean, and as week kept as an older place can be. The desk people are warm and friendly. The sheets were some of the best. There are chairs and lakeside campfires and the views are amazing."

"Nice..."

"We truly enjoyed our stay! Close enough to walk to everything we wanted to see and do in Mackinaw City. Our cabin was clean, comfortable and quiet. Definitely recommend and will stay here on our next trip north!"

"The Cabins are located within walking distance to shops and restaurants up and down the main thoroughfare. My friend and I chose one of the free-standing 2 bedroom/2 tv cabins as it provided privacy for both of us. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was well stocked. We would definitely stay again!"
