The room was nice and comfortable, the balcony was clean & had a nice view. The beach was clean. The breakfast was pretty good although the breakfast room gets very crowded. The staff were very courteous.

The hotel was very nice, breakfast was awesome (as they normally are at Best Western hotels), pool was nice/warm enough. The room we had was a suite and was very spacious and comfortable. The only problem we had was the parking. The parking lot is way too small for a hotel of this size.

Pool/hot tub had way too much chlorine. Game room was a joke. My kids were very disappointed. The room was great! The service was great! Parking was a major issue.

We loved the location of the hotel and the facilities. We had requested a room with a balcony but instead were given a room on the ground level. It did have a "patio" but people outside could see right into our room. The room also had a musty smell which made it difficult for me to sleep. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was fine.

We enjoyed the accomodations very much. Our only complaint was with the breakfast bar -- it was not physically arranged in a logical way, so there was a very long line for the buffet, when there really didn't need to be. Just a little rearranging of the order of the foor and moving the do-it-yourself waffle machine to one side would have made it much more efficient.

The rooms are very clean, the staff is friendly and the breakfast is very good and well-stocked. Our favorite part of the Dockside is the beach. Clean, sandy and plenty of chairs. It was our third year in a row staying at the Dockside and we will be back next year!

Hotel is very clean and staff is friendly. Location is perfect for walking to ferries, attractions, and center of town. We arrived early and since the room was ready, we checked in. We stayed on the 4th floor facing lake Huron in a room with two queen beds and a queen sofa bed. The room was large enough for all of us( three adults and three children). The room was very clean with enough towels for all of us. Our minor complaint is that the balconies on the 2nd and 3rd floors were larger than the 4th and the elevator is at one end of building. The bathroom sink is in the room, not the bathroom. The beach behind this hotel is much cleaner than other hotels along this stretch. Also, the water bottom here is sandy compared to the rocky bottom south of the hotel. The kids(ages 5-8 years) had a great time playing on the beach and in the water since it is very shallow for a long way out.

This hotel is clean, and kept up. It is a good hotel and I would recommend this to any family staying at Mackinaw. The beach front is GREAT!!! My kid loved playing on the sand bar and jumping into the waves. Clean and friendly. The rooms NEED a safe. Then it would be perfect.
