Located on Lake Huron, the Comfort Inn Lakeside is one of Mackinaw City's finest. Excellent for swimming and sunbathing, our private sandy beach features a large sundeck and beach furniture. Enjoy the cool, sparkling water and the most fantastic views of Mackinac Island, the Island ferryboats, and the many beautiful and interesting sights and sounds of the famous Straits of Mackinac.

An elegant blend of colonial and traditional themes creates a comforting, relaxing atmosphere at the Comfort Inn Lakeside. All of our guest rooms offer two queen or one king-sized bed. Many of the rooms offer private balconies overlooking the lake, and in-room whirlpools are also available. A deluxe continental breakfast is served each morning on the lakefront. Refrigerators, telephones, PC hook-up and remote control cable 27 inch televisions are standard in all our accommodations. For our guests' enjoyment, we also have an indoor swimming pool and the largest indoor whirlpool in Mackinaw City.

I actually was transferred to the Hamilton as the Comfort Inn was not yet open for the season. The hotel was good, but my stay was rather boring as of course nothing was open in the city and thru no fault of the hotel the internet and related communications were down. Since I had arrived early to spend some time doing some of these things, I was disappointed.

I rate my stay at your Hotel a good, for one reason. The Television Channels. I could only have 5 channels. Someone before I had stayed in my room, had set my television, so that I could only view only 5 channels, and so, after 30 minutes of figuring out how the Television worked, I had found out how to turn on the other 50 channels. Other than that, it was a pleasure to stay at your Hotel, it was very neat and clean, and I'd do it again. Thank you for letting me spend a night with you, Jeffrey D. Ballard.

Our overall stay was good. The people working at the front desk were outstanding! We had my elderly parents with us and had requested a first floor room. The request did not get written down, but the ladies did all they could to accomodate us and they did! I am VERY grateful for that! The room was very clean. The only negative is the breakfast area. It is WAY TOO SMALL to accomodate that size of a hotel. I would highly suggest making an actual room for breakfast as opposed to just having the breakfast room in a small "hallway"! I would have given this establishment an outstanding rating had it not been for the breakfast area!

The woman who checked us in made sure that I had a room on the 1st floor and did not have to walk up the stairs (I use a cane). The closeness to the beach was a wonderful perk according to my grandchildren who were with me.

We did not get the room that we were expecting, nor did they offer to correct the problem and there was no microwave in room as advertised, but the room that we did have was nice and clean. Breakfast area was extremely small-had to take our food to the room. The hotel is in a great location and we did enjoy our stay very much. We will stay here again when we return in the future.

Hard to rate as outstanding as we were only there one night. Staff seemed friendly, room was very nice. Breakfast room too small and crowded so we went to a restaurant. I would definitely stay there again. Beautiful location and good rate. I wish you have a rating between good and outstanding. Definitely VERY GOOD.

Nice room! Kids enjoyed the pool in the evening. Good location. We walked to the furthest Mackinaw Island fairy (Shepplers) and it was a short 10 minute walk. Breakfast bar was lacking in space to move around (but don't they all), and lack of healthy choices. However, I value the room cleanliness and quietness enough to rate "Outstanding". We would stay there again.

The view from our balcony of the hotel's beach and lake Michigan was wonderful. The staff were very helpful answering all our questions. The room was lovely, a good size and clean. We will definitely choose the same hotel for our next stay in Mackinaw City. Only suggestion for improvement: while the breakfast was wonderful, some boxes for taking breakfast to one's balcony would be a nice addition, especially since the breakfast room is a little small.

We stayed in a beachfront room and the view was amazing! The room was clean and very spacious. The free breakfast was also very good. Waking up early and hitting the breakfast room early was the key. We sat on our porch over looking the beach while we ate our breakfast. We also had free passes to an indoor waterpark at another hotel which was less than five minutes walking, which are 2 children loved. All in all, it was a great visit and look forward to visiting again soon. The hotel was right in the middle of everything and within walking distance to it all. We loved it!!

Loved the hotel especially the balcony. My husband said the bed wasn't comfortable but everything else was great. Breakfast was also a surprise with hot eggs and sausage.
