8 out of 10Remodeled rooms, decent and clean. Toilet was uneven and rocked. Mentioned that to them so they can repair it. Staff seemed friendly. Not enough parking when motel near capacity. Beds are older and hard/firm.Right on edge of water and near fireworks we had "front row" viewing. 10 out of 10Stayed at waterfront inn , the rest was easy to get to . Ferry to the island was affordable. Once on island rented bikes my 6yr old had fun. We stayed right off the beach, weather was 70 and raining , still manageable as weather is controles by Mother Nature ! All in all we had a great family trip, wee want to make it an annual trip . We needed more towels and had no way way to get any. When we went to check out the next morning there was still not a single employee in sight and a note on door telling us to go check out at a different hotel. 10 out of 10The price was amazing! The room was clean. The only negative from our whole visit was at the water park. The middle pool looked murky and smelled strongly of chemicals. The county inspector was there for a walk-through and he told my husband the water tested safely so we swam in it. The water turned my silver rings almost black. That only happens with very strong chemicals in my experience. We would definitely stay again though. I love the waterfront inn. They do not have the continental breakfast and their beds are only full size not queen as advertised. The two desk workers that we meet were very helpful.These comments are from a verified stay

The only problem we had was that the patio door got stuck closed on the second day of our stay and we couldn't open it. The room did smell like stale smoke - very happy to leave the window and door open. Also the screen door was hard to open and scraped while opening. 8 out of 10We didnt like that we had to wait tell 3pm to check in. The room she gave us we were happy.Then when we got to the room.There were a few things that needed to be fixed for us to stay. The maintenance man was very quick to arrive. He fixed the toilet,the door that wouldnt open and the TV. All with a good attitude,very professional. 8 out of 10Hotel is very close to downtown mackinaw city. 2 min drive or 510 mins walk from the hotel. Beds and pillows weren't all that comfortable but were ok to sleep on. However our shower didnt work the first night. Told office on morning they tried to fix it while we were out but what ever they had done didnt work. Told office again and they moved us to a better and bigger room for the inconvenience.
