Beautiful Hotel. We really enjoyed our lakeside room! Breakfast was wonderful. The staff @ the hotel were top notch from check in to cleaning ladies and the breakfast cook (who was remarkable at keeping up with the large crowds all by herself every morning!!!). Will stay there again!!

We stayed at this motel almost 20 years ago. This motel was nice then and is just as nice now. The rooms are nice and updated with newer carpet and bedding and the carpeted balcony was a nice surprise! Keep up the good work!

I enjoy the Best Western Dockside.. great location and nice staff. The only issue I had was that we were given a key to our room and it was not ready... the poor lady cleaning it had just started so we had to sit and wait. The hotel was not close to being full so that had me wondering why but mistakes get made. Other than that the stay was great.

The motel has an excellent location, walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and the ferry to the island. Lakeview rooms are available. Our room was clean and had a small balcony overlooking the lake and the private beach. The receptionist we had was not friendly and appeared quite frustrated when I asked her to repeat her directions on how to get to our room and where to park. Had it not been for our negative initial contact with her, perhaps the dated decor and out of service stairway wouldn't have been so apparent to us.

The staff was friendly and we were upgraded to a better room at no extra charge but the rooms need updating. The fan in the bathroom was loose and not terribly secure and could use a new bathtub...it was clean but showed obvious wear

My husband and I were very pleased with our stay. The room was very clean and the view was beautiful. We really appreciated the wonderful breakfast. It was a great way to start each day. Having the discounts for the boat rides and different places was very helpful. One thing. Having a bigger sign of where the elevator is would help. Also covered steps going up to the dining room would be nice. Felt someone could slip on the steps due to rain. However that is just a suggestion. We will be back!!

We stayed in late September, so not peak season. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast area also clean and well-stocked. Breakfast room is not large, so I’m guessing it’s crowded during the summer. Only one elevator shared by guests and housekeeping in a spread-out property. All things considered, we’d stay again.

Great rate. Room was clean and staff were attentive to clean the room during the day. Pool and hot tub were nice. Desk staff nice and helpful. Only minor thing I would change would be breakfast. It was good yet the types of hot food did not change in the 3 days we stayed there. It was sausage and biscuits, sausage patties and eggs. Maybe next time alternate it with bacon or ham slices etc. other then this the stay was great.

This hotel has a great location because it is close to the lake and downtown Mackinaw City and is quiet. The breakfast buffet is good. However it was freezing cold in the breakfast room. Our room was clean but the air conditioner made a lot of noise.
