The Beach House is a family owned and operated resort run with pride and integrity. We are the last stand of cottages on the water in Mackinaw City. We are 1 mile east of downtown. There are sidewalks and a bike trail to get to town.
Seven cottages sit directly on the beachfront the others back up in a U shape from the beach. Everyone staying at the Beach House has access to our private beach. The Beach House is pet friendly (small pet fee) with 2 animals maximum. All hotel rooms in Michigan are non smoking. Smoking is permitted outdoors.

It was a lovely place to stay . The cabin was clean and comfortable. The manager Martin was welcoming and kind. Mornings watching the sunrise was just beautiful and peaceful. The accommodations are minimal and clean. The kitchenette is a coffee maker, microwave and small fridge. Check in and check out were easy. My only suggestion/request would be to provide better coffee- I'm not usually picky, but it was pretty bad! It was cozy, quiet, and came with a small kitchenette, which was perfect for simple meals. The private beach access was a huge bonus, and the indoor pool was a nice option as well.The cabin came fully stockedshower essentials, bedding, towelsso we didnt need to bring much at all. It felt like a hotel, but with all the comforts of a home away from home.The only downside for us was the pet policy. We couldnt bring our dog into the lake because wet dogs werent allowed back into the cabin, and we also werent allowed to leave our dog alone inside, which made it hard to explore places that didnt allow pets. Quaint cabins kept very clean. Steps from the beach, our little ones would wake up and play on the beach from sunrise to sunset! Martin and his team are friendly and accommodating. My son loved playing in the sand and managed to get in lake huron, brrr. The location was awesome. There were grills available to use as well as items in the office if you didn't want to eat out the whole time. We used the pool and hot tub as well as sat on the beach.
