Beautiful city!! The hotel was good, nothing to write home about, but clean and updated. Breakfast in the morning was pretty good also. Only stayed one night, but enjoyed our stay. Sat in the beach chairs at night and looked at the stars. Overall, had an amazing time!

In my mind, a 5 is an outstanding, "I would never stay anywhere else" place. This place is good, but not outstanding. The service is excellent, the rooms are decent, if a bit dated. I would definitely appreciate a better positioning of power outlets. (phones, children's handheld games, etc all need power outlets. Not to mention my CPAP, which required me to unplug the clock and move furniture in order to have a place to plug it in.)

The front desk, while efficient, was not welcoming. The breakfast room above the entrance moves with a mild breeze and could use cross-bracing. The ice machine on our few floor was broken. The hotel itself has a magnificent view and beach. The location is convenient to downtown but remains peaceful. We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return but would go across the street to have breakfast where the buildi doesn't move. Cg

It is a nice tours type hotel close to fun things to do, nice access to beach and lake. However it moved from GOOD to OUTSTANDING because of the helpful staff. We rode a motorcycle up for a change of activity and my wife burnt her leg on the exhaust. The Saft bent over backwards on a Sunday to assist us!!!! I stay all over the country and most would have just told us we the hospital was. My hat off to the Staff at the frount desk!!!

I would actually rate this hotel as 4.5. This was my first trip to Mackinaw and I was a little wary not knowing which hotel to book. The Best Western Dockside was one of the cleanest, neatest hotels I have ever been to. That alone, was a huge plus for me. I can't tell you how much it ruins a trip to stay somewhere with mold/mildew in the bath, stale odors, and leaky ceilings and half-cleaned rooms. The view was awesome and was exactly as pictured on the website. The only thing that disappointed us was the fitness center. For a hotel this size, I was expecting the quantity and the quality of the equipment to be better, but it really didn't interfere with my enjoyment of the trip. I would stay there the next time I come to Mackinaw and recommend it to friends. Keep up the good work.

After a long day of swimming and driving from Lake Superior near Munising we were given a room right next to the road. I was apprehensive about the room until we got into it. The accommidations were GREAT. There were lots of room to move around even with the optional roll-away bed. The bathroom area outside the shower was roomy, and well kept. The room was clean and no outside noises were heard. The breakfast the next morning was topnotch. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The room was clean and very comfortable. I loved being able to go onto the balcony and enjoy the view. The only thing I would add is a second coffee pot for any room that has more than 3-4 people who drink coffee. The breakfast was very good and had a lot of choices. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to others and it will be my choice to stay at the next time I am up that way.

Our stay at Best Western Dockside Waterfront was wonderful! It is very clean, comfortably furnished, and well maintained each day. Our room overlooked their stretch of beach and Lake Huron, so we got to watch the water ferries come and go. It was an excellent place to stay.
