We were offered by the staff at Dockside the opportunity to stay at the Hamilton since Dockside was closing for the season. We appreciated their honesty in letting us know that their pool was closed and there would not be a breakfast :) We did choose to move to the Hamilton, but am pretty sure the service at Dockside would have been just as great!

It was a great hotel and for the price we paid it made it even better. Some people say you have to stay on the island... I have done both and I loved staying in Mackinaw city. There are several different shops that you can visit right next to the hotel and from our room you could hear the waves lapping on the beach. It was great and I can't wait to stay agian.

Employees were all very friendly and helpful. The Hotel was extremely clean and neat. Out room was upgraded without asking. The bed was extremely comfortable. Sheets were great, pillows were great, The bathroom was very clean, enough towels were supplied. The heat/air worked very well. The temperature in the room was perfect. I would have liked to comment on the Continental breakfast but we didnt use it.

"Outstanding" because of location and price. Located right on the water, the view from our 2nd floor balcony was awesome. Plus, the added bonus of being within walking distance of the downtown shops/restaurants/bars and the ferry docks makes the Best Western Dockside a perfect choice. We won't think twice about staying there again.

We were very pleased with our accomodations. We had an excellent view of Lake Huron and Mackinac Island. The room was clean and the housekeeping service was very good. We came during the late time of year when it wasn't crowded so that added to our enjoyment, even with all the rain. I should also add that the breakfast buffet was very good and an added benefit.
