8 out of 10Great hotel prices and staff....the only two things that could change are the parking (not enough or close to room) and the temperature of the water spray room...the water was absolutely freezing...no one would go in, however the huge jacuzzi was a great hit with the kids!These comments are from a verified stay

8 out of 10We had a lovely stay. The room was clean, and the view beautiful; the staff kind and very easy to deal with. We had two areas of concern: it would have been lovely to have wifi in the room. I had a few things I needed to do for work and it was not convenient to have to go to the lobby to connect with clients. Also, the eggs, sausage & biscuit gravy at breakfast did not taste good. The breakfast had all the right elements and the staff person was fabulous, it just didn't taste very good. 8 out of 10Nice clean hotel with nice room. Very nice being right on the beach front. Great price for the room also. Breakfast was inconvenient having to go to seperate hotel. Especially since it was raining that morning. Breakfast room was full and felt we needed to rush so others could sit down to eat. Food was good. Think it is tacky that they have a tips jar sitting out in breakfast room. 8 out of 10We had a large family group. There were 8 of us. We were lucky to get the a 3 room suite. My sister and her husband took a room. I shared a room with children and the others used the 2 bedroom. This gave us plenty of space and losts of bathrooms when we all needed to get ready to go. The location was nice. The pool was fun and the breakfast was right next door. My only comment on the room it would be nice to have a hook on the wall in the bathroom for robe or clothes. The front desk staff was courteous. We were able to check in early and even get a late check out the next morning. Great hotel for the price. 8 out of 10The rates were excellent for this room. Basic amenities and very clean. Balcony and view of the beach wonderful. Staff was great. Hotel had lots of amenities (pool, water park, spa). Breakfast was just okay and though next door, was not inconvenient. A few bothersome issues: climbing four flights of stairs to get to our room; the heating/cooling system was difficult to regulate. 10 out of 10My husband and I had never stayed at the Fairview Beachfront Inn until recently. I can safely say that we WILL return. This hotel was a GREAT value. We had a room overlooking the lake, beach access and the indoor water park was great. My Son loved it. The breakfast buffet was at the hotel next door, however, it was very convenient and, unlike other hotels, had plenty of seating as well as an outdoor patio. Overall, we were VERY pleased with our choice to stay there while in Mackinaw City and we will be back next summer.These comments are from a verified stay

Our room could have used some TLC in the bathroom (shower knob came off in our hand and the drain didn't work in the tub!). Our room was made availible to us only 30mins early. I felt they could have won big points if they would have clean and made it availible sooner. It was wonderful to have acess to all the waterparks. The location and price was wonderful. The neighbor hotels breakfast was just wonderful and it was nice how all hotels welcomed others from other hotels. 8 out of 10The location is why I rated the hotel good. This hotel has a nice beach and the price is very reasonable. If it didn't have the nice beachfront I would have rated it average. I think they could make the beachfront more inviting with nice chairs and keep it organized. Regarding the rooms I think it would be very easy to make them more inviting with newer bedding.
