8 out of 10We enjoyed our stay at the Fairview Beachfront Inn. After booking our room online, when we arrived there was a mix-up in our room request. Although, the woman who waited on us said it could not be changed, the other attendant at the desk, a man, said that he would take care of it. We were very happy with our room, the cleanliness and the view. We did have to walk next door to another hotel for breakfast, but the food was very good and hot. One day they told us it was in the building on the right the next day it was the buildings on the left. It didn't matter to us but we felt like we were crashing a party at another hotel. 10 out of 10We did not stay at the Fairview, because it was closed for the season. We stayed at the Hamilton Beachfront Inn. It was wonderful. The room was clean, well appointed, and cozy. The breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed the experience in the dining room. Every staff member was friendly, helpful, and made sure we had all we needed. Having a jacuzzi in our room was wonderful, and the hotel pool was inviting and enjoyable. I would stay at The Hamilton again.These comments are from a verified stay

Took advantage of lazy river, hot tun, and pool. Caught very to Mackinac Island. Short walk. Easy stroll to shopping and restaurants. Great rate for lake view. We return with our dog after Labor Day. Thus is the best place we have stayed in Mackinac, except for our Grand Hotel stay. Only suggestion is to replace tv in room. 6 out of 10Rooms were clean and spacious but very basic(nothing fancy). One room did not have shampoo the first night but it was there the second night. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of food as well as a good variety. We had seven rooms for one night and six for the second night and they were all adjacent to each other in a separate wing, making it possible for us to socialize as a family.These comments are from a verified stay

8 out of 10We thought this hotel was clean, comfortable, had a great breakfast every day (we DIDN'T have to go to another building, it was right upstairs), beautiful view, and LOVED the waterpark for the kids! Downsides; water in the waterpark was a little cold, and the lakeside was horrible and rocky (could be due to receding water). Those 2 things combined made no water fun for mom and dad (kids could not have cared less!) We would have also liked a locking screen door to keep toddlers in and allow breeze in. We are contemplating staying at a different hotel next year, unless the Fairview implements wi-fi. But we do love the hot tub. It's the best we have ever seen or experienced. I was able to walk from the hotel to tour historic features and I also walked to the Mackinaw Island Ferry for a day trip. I had trouble finding the location for the complimentary breakfast - a note in the room or at the office would have been helprul.
