We really enjoyed having the waterpark right in our hotel as our two daughters utilized it (my husband and I sat in the hot tub). The location was perfect for us and it was great that a hot breakfast bar was included.

The only complaint was there was a group of kids which should have been put on the first floor and no one with reservations put on the floor..seems like all the kids where on the 2nd floor and were very noisy. Running and talking very loud at 6 in the morning. Where were the chaperons? Other than that the hotel was clean and the breakfast was awesome. Front desk people were very helpful. I would stay again if every in the area.

The room was adequate and had plenty of towels. The room was clean and had a large balcony. There were a few quirks: the remote for the TV did not function properly; the heater dropped to 55 degrees and began pumping out cold air in the middle of the night; at check in the receptionist didn’t mention we needed wrist bands for the water park, which resulted in my husband running outside to the front desk in the snow to get our bands, we saw other families do the same thing. The bands were free with our stay, my children were with me at check in...it would be intuitive to assume we may use the water park and offer the bands at the time of check in. The water park was very nice and my kids enjoyed it.

The stay was great. Staff was very friendly. The hotel was quiet. The view of the mackinaw bridge is one of the best views. At night you can see it clearly liite. The grand hotel on mackinaw island is bright at night.

I completely forgot the wonderful ladies name at the front desk that checked me in that night. I remember asking online if they could anyway place my husband and myself in a balcony room as we were celebrating both our 10 year wedding anniversary and our 12 year wedding anniversary. She not only did that, she placed us on the first floor with a inside jacuzzi with a wonderful comfy king size bed with a big size indoor refrigerator with our first floor balcony overlooking the beautiful beach!! The general manager who was very helpful and might I add loving his job gave us great places to go to do things together as a couple and the amazing food they offer not only in the city but also on the island. The same wonderful lady who completely upgraded our room for free was also very helpful for ideas for food and entertainment that the city has. This, which I didn’t know until we went on the ferry to the island, that this was my Husband’s very first time coming up to this wonderful city and the island. Starting now to save my pennies so that this spring break 2019 my husband and I can come back to your hotel with our two children who are 15 years old (boy) and 10 year old (daughter) can also experience the same hotel, city and island!! Thank you all so very much!!!

Having our room attached to the water park was great. It was cold and windy and we could still enjoy it. The only thing we didnt like is the beds. They were so hard that we think the floor was softer.

This is the nicest hotel we have stayed at in Mackinaw and we have stayed at several places in the city. The pool area is exception and is actually heated warm enough to get into without freezing. The breakfast is the equivalent to just about every other place in town though the room itself is more spacious than many of the other hotels in town. The room was clean and with the lake view room we had, Lake Huron was about ten yards from our balcony. Hearing the lake from our room was just as pleasant as seeing it. The beds were a bit on the hard side for me and seemed small even for a queen bed but that is a personal preference thing. We will likely stay here again assuming their pricing remains competitive with the other hotels in the area.

I thought the place was very nice on the outside, but inside many areas looked worn and in need of replacement. The room was clean and had a nice bathroom. The beach area was in disarray. Most of the staff were not friendly and they all seemed pretty done and sick of the summer season...they were ready to move on to their next gig or go back to school. Except for the coffee the breakfast was very good.

Great views from this hotel and very friendly staff. The reasons for not providing a 5 star review are: Breakfast: no fresh options, and an insane amount of disposable dishes, cutlery and other plastic. No excuse for single use! Water park: the hours were inconvenient and the lifeguards poorly trained in basic customer service.

We enjoyed the Bridge View very much! The staff was polite and helpful, the room cleaning was excellent, and the breakfast was great! Just the way to start a busy day! The Lazy River was a fantastic way to unwind from a tiring day of vacation and the pool attendants did a great job of keeping the young ones safe and under control. This was our second stay here and we'll definitely be back again soon!!

The renovations are quite an improvement. The cleanliness of some public spaces are less than desirable. Also we wanted to order a pizza and were told we couldn’t use hotel phones we must use our cell. We do not use our cell phones stateside except for emergencies. My husband had to raise a fuss to use the one at the front desk.
