The front desk was very helpful and let us check in early on a rainy day. We really enjoyed the inside water park. The room was very good with log type furniture. The breakfast had a nice variety of items and was located in a separate area on the 3rd floor. We got a good end of the season rate.

We loved the room. And having the waterpark and breakfast right in our hotel, was perfect. We enjoyed the fireworks by the brdige that we were able to see from the beach front. Only 2 things i would change is. The bedding needed updating, there were 2 smalls holes in our under blanket. And the front of the hotel facing lake Huron needed power washed. There was a lot of cob webs. And maybe light a nightly fire for the guest.

Had 4 rooms with 11 ladies, they upgraded 2 rooms so we had suites with 3 beds rather than rollaway beds and they gave us a good rate. The watermark was nice with the lazy river and hot tub.

Check in clerk wasn't very friendly. The water park staff were great. The hotel is expensive but not excessive compared to other area hotels. Breakfast was kept stocked which isn't easy on a major holiday weekend.

WE had an excellent time and our room was beautiful. We had a problem with the next door room smoking on their balcony and the staff took care of it immediately. We will definitely be back to Mackinaw City. We used to stay in St. Ignace but the last 3 yrs, we have stay in your beautiful city and just went to St. Ignace to shop and visit!!! :)

Walking out the back door of the Lobby to the sandy shore of Lake Huron was the best part of the hotel. Our lakeside room's view of the bridge was also outstanding, especially at night, a balcony would be worth the higher price depending on the fly season. The customer service and amenities were only average to fair and lack of working laundry facilities would rate awful. The indoor water park would be fun for young families.

Our room was very clean and had all amenities needed. The breakfast had no fresh fruit, bananas apples oranges, there was highly processed fruit, probably from a can or jar that was loaded with high sugar syrup. I also did not like the fact that all the plates bowls and cups were styrofoam. I would have preferred paper plates.

I'd really give this place a 3.5 stars, but since that's not an option, I'm choosing 4 instead of 3 because we did have a nice stay. Upon arrival, we were notified that the type of room I booked online wasn't available, but we were given a suite upgrade at no extra charge, which was nice. The room was alright - clean; lovely size; comfy beds; they brought us a roll-away cot so our sons didn't have to squeeze onto one bed. Very polite front desk staff. Cons: breakfast buffet was awkward and crowded, and not reminiscent of a professional hotel breakfast buffet; windows were covered in bugs & spiders on the outside, which spoiled the view a bit; toilet seat was on the verge of falling apart and wasn't fixed even though we brought it to their attention; needs a couple more fire pits on the beach outside - only having 2 was disappointing because a family had made sure no one else could use them both nights we were there.

The staff was extremly helpful, the room was very clean. We enjoyed the lake view room, and access to the beach. At first we were kind of hesitant about the location, but it was nice being away from the center, and truly it only took a few minutes to get anywhere. The discount at Dixie's was also very nice by using our room card. And their service was excellent at Dixie's, we had to wait a bit but it was well worth it.
