10 out of 10I ended up not staying here because the convention center and clarion are the same owner, so they found a way to keep me at the convention instead of checking out and in again for 1 day.These comments are from a verified stay

10 out of 10Inn on Mackinac has been my choice each time I visit my daughter who works on Mackinac - the staff is excellent, accommodating, so friendly. I spent one of the days at the sundeck, to come up to my room and have a staff member knock on the door just as I had closed it with fresh baked warm cookies. Such a neat treat to break up the day, there were also crackers and cheese with lemonade in the lobby set up as you come in. It's a nice little pick me up when you don't feel like walking the short distance where all of the restaurants are. The rooms are always exceptionally clean. My only one complaint would be that they let other hotels use their pool spa & sundeck, so it gets crowded since it's so small. All & all - I absolutely love it and will continue to choose it as "my place" that I regularly stay.These comments are from a verified stay

10 out of 10Enjoyed the comfortable bed and the view of the lake from the balcony. Only minor complaint is that the sofa bed in the room did not face the TV which is why we wanted the sofa! The chairs in the room worked fine though, just not as comfortable. 10 out of 10Check in was quick, accurate, and the staff was very knowledgable about the area. Very close to 2 island ferries and discounts are available at the front desk. Our room was clean and well supplied with everything we needed. I especially liked that we had a deck overlooking the beach--beautiful and peaceful sunrise view. The complimentary breakfast was delicious too. Hot food was hot and the waffles were great. The pool and hot tub were well maintained and spacious. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel to friends. One thing that is unusual is that the building with the beach view is 1/2 story off from the building with the elevator, so carrying luggage up and down a few stairs in unavoidable if staying in those rooms. The room was clean, however, the sliding glass door to the balcony would not lock. We, therefore, had to change rooms because there wasn't anyone to repair the door in our first room. But if you don't feel like walking, there is a back entrance to parking lot for a real fast shortcut. :-) Beach was great, and peaceful - we had lake front room that was fabulous. Staff was wonderful and friendly. 5 star friendly. By the third step into the lobby (on each occasion) the person at the desk acknowledged me with hello, be right with you, how can I help you sayings.
