Good clean hotel for small tourist town. Con. Brief. Was fair. Eggs were cooked in microwave yuck! Meat didn't taste well either. How about a omelette station. I know its hands but it would go over big.

It was a good hotel at a good price, good location, and nice amenities with the beach front and hot breakfast. The only thing, our room appeared to be clean but had a strong odor. Though, it almost seemed like the smell of perhaps new carpet padding and the carpet appeared to be new.

The hotel staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Some of the things seemed slightly dated, such as peeling wallpaper. The pool and hot tub were very nice but most of the machines in the workout room did not work. The hotel beach was great and the breakfast was delicious. Overall a good stay.

The most important thing when staying at a hotel is the cleanliness of the rooms. Room was very clean. When we arrived we were told we wouold be updated to a larger room. Staff was very considerate that we had driven quite a long way. Breakfast foods were adequate and good. Enjoyed our stay. Would return to this hotel.

The room was very nice and the staff was wonderful. The drawback is the breakfast. It was like a feeding frenzy with too many children running around screaming and/ or crying. Food all over the floor and the hot food was not very good. We went somewhere else for breakfast each morning.

The only issue was that the sun set on the side of the hotel where we stayed and it took a while for the room to cool when we arrived because the air conditioner was not turned on. Also the next day when we came back to the room the curtains were drwn, the air conditioner was off and again it took some time to cool the room. I called the front desk and asked that they not turn the air off anymore and they complied. Hot tub is huge two people fit with room to spare so that is nice. You can say the hotel is out dated, but it is in good condition and clean. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Would recommend this hotel to anyone heading to Mackinaw.

It was great to have a suite so that the kids could have their own room and we could have ours. They loved the big flat screen TV's in the room. We liked the coffee maker, microwave, and fridge in our room too. The pool was very nice. Our room was a little bit small and probably had one too many chairs. The breakfast was really good but it would have been nice if yogurt and fresh fruit were available.

We have stayed at the Clarion several times. We chose it over the others due to the fact we can get the two room suites. The bathrooms are large and the room accommodates our large gang. We get a reasonable rate also. I noticed that the rms with 2 queens are really large, I would like to see you have adjoining rms with 2 queens then we would have 2 bathrooms also.

The hotel was wonderful. I made two phone calls with quick questions prior to my stay and the hotel rep was a little breaf on their answer but my question was answered. Then we arrived and had the best room! Really lovely and the hotel staff went out of their way to take care of anything we needed! The breakfast bar was pleasant except for the sausage??? Not sure about that! But my family loved our stay and I hope to return to this hotel many times again. It is our NEW favorite place to go!

Our stay was very nice at the Clarion. We (My wife, 2 children, and I) arrived a little before normal check in, about 11:00 A.M. but were given a very nice room with a beautiful view of Lake Michigan. The room was a little older but clean, and the vaulted ceilings gave the feeling of being in a much larger hotel room. My family and I will stay there again, on our next visit to Mackinaw City.

The Clarion Hotel in Mackinaw City made my stay there that much more enjoyable. My lakefront room on the first floor was wondeful! In the morning I enjoyed drinking my coffee and looking over the beach and across the horizon. The room was pristine and the decor was lovely. As an added bonus feature, there was an updated LG tv in the room.
