Conveniently located on Huron Street, the Comfort Inn Lakeside is within walking to all that Mackinaw City has to offer, including the Mackinaw Island ferryboats, Mackinaw Crossings, downtown shops, theaters, outdoor concerts, restaurants, and a free laser light show.

Located on Lake Huron, the Comfort Inn Lakeside is one of Mackinaw City's finest. Excellent for swimming and sunbathing, our private sandy beach features a large sundeck and beach furniture. Enjoy the cool, sparkling water and the most fantastic views of Mackinac Island, the Island ferryboats, and the many beautiful and interesting sights and sounds of the famous Straits of Mackinac.

An elegant blend of colonial and traditional themes creates a comforting, relaxing atmosphere at the Comfort Inn Lakeside. All of our guest rooms offer two queen or one king-sized bed. Many of the rooms offer private balconies overlooking the lake, and in-room whirlpools are also available. A deluxe continental breakfast is served each morning on the lakefront. Refrigerators, telephones, PC hook-up and remote control flat screen televisions are standard in all our accommodations. For our guests' enjoyment, we also have an indoor swimming pool and the largest indoor whirlpool in Mackinaw City.

Beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and quiet. Breakfast was delicious. The room locks seemed finicky. Often the card wouldn't work. We had to have cards redone 3 times in 2 days.

Rooms were clean and the view was fantastic. Getting to the room was hard...using a shared elevator to a connected hotel. The front desk check in person was rude and not welcoming. When we told her the room key opened a room in the other hotel (my husband was lost) she acted like I was crazy and didn't give me a resolution to that problem!! Not a friendly place with a "we're glad your're here" attitude.

We stayed at this hotel last year and were pleased that everything was like it was supposed to be. Check-in and check-out were speedy. employees at the desk were very helpful and the room was clean. The room was perfect for our families needs. Everything was within aalking distance. A bit of updating on the interior and exterior is needed. An elevator would have helped also. My daughter and I came up to Mackinaw to spend the 4th of July. We were too far from the elevators so they gracefully changed our room. We didn't have a screen door on our balcony, so when we told them, they immediately sent a maintenance man to put one in. Everyone was very polite. The breakfast was wonderful and we enjoyed it so much that we stayed another day.

Loved the lakeside view, near the boat docks so we could watch the ships in and out. Loved the delicious waffles and variety breakfast! Very clean and COMFORTABLE beds ! Friendly and helpful staff, can walk thru Mackinaw city so easily! Loved our stay, this is the second time we have stayed at this motel and will definitely be back the next time we come to the area!

We had a lovely stay at the Comfort Inn Lakeside. Check in and out went smoothly, staff was helpful and nice and we were even upgraded to a lake view room at no cost. My children had a wonderful time at the pool and on the beach. The rooms were nice and clean. My only critique would be the size of the breakfast room. There was a lot of variety to the buffet, but so many people eating in SUCH a small area, made it difficult to find a place to sit and the poor employee who worked the kitchen area. It was so great she was as friendly as she was, because she was running herself ragged as things were emptying faster than she could fill them. Thank goodness for FANTASTIC weather, because we ate on the beach every morning. All in all, it was a great stay, especially for the price. We will be back!!

Everything about this stay was outstanding. The front desk check-in was very helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious with an awesome view. It was close to everything. We walked to the island boat shuttle, we walked to the restaurants, and we just walked up and down the street because it was so pretty and easy. I highly recommended taking a trip to Mackinaw City. Breakfast was very good too. Thank you for making our trip perfect.

The staff was very nice and accomodating. The only real issue was the breakfast area. It is too small and the attendant was overwhelmed due to the volume of guests versus the area she has to manuver and keep the food filled. We really enjoyed our first floor lakeside room because we could sit on the balcony and watch our children play in the sand.

People at the front desk were kind and courteous, the room was neat and clean, no "stale" smells. The breakfast area was kept tidy as well. Checkout was smooth and again people at the front desk were kind and courteous. Their people even said thank you with a kind smile. It may seem trivial, but it came off as truly honest, not forced because it was their "job". It's simple kindness that makes a world of difference.

I actually was transferred to the Hamilton as the Comfort Inn was not yet open for the season. The hotel was good, but my stay was rather boring as of course nothing was open in the city and thru no fault of the hotel the internet and related communications were down. Since I had arrived early to spend some time doing some of these things, I was disappointed.
