Never burned any gas in the truck, rode bikes everywhere. Down side, The WI FI was not available in the room only in the main lobby, drink the orange juice on the right side not the left. THE ONLY REASON I CANNOT GIVE AN OUTSTANDING RATING IS THIS: MY WIFE AND I PAID FOR A ROOM WITH A DECK THAT WOULD PROVIDE US WITH A NICE VIEW OF LAKE HURON AND WE ENDED UP ON THE GROUND FLOOR WHERE OUR VIEW WAS OF THE PARKING LOT FOR THE MARINA. The maid had turned off our air condition when the room was cleaned and when we returned, it was hot in the room. Also, the fan in the bathroom was very loud and rattled when turned on. We also got a room I requested on the ground floor since my husband is having back problems. The staff is very friendly and gracious. The bathroom fan was extremely noisy when you turn the light on, but we were so tired it really didn't matter. Only glitch was some housekeeping staff failed to report for work, and our room did not get cleaned after the first night, but staff very apologetic about that situation. Not their fault. Not by the hotel but by the visitors web site. We go there every year and the staff remembered up. They got up a room in their hotel and not some other. We go there because we like the staff.
