Directions to the 2nd floor breakfast room in the Clarion would have been helpful. I also think they should not advertise to have internet services when the services actually are from the Clarion. 8 out of 10Very good for the price. Cleanliness was most important and it was clean. Noise level was good, didn't hear neighbors. Nice hot continental breakfast. Would have preferred more protein and some fresh fruit and yogurt as it was full of carbs. Sunday and Tuesday were restocked, the woman working Monday morning was too busy texting to keep it stocked until there were requests and complaints. Love being on the beach, wish there was some type of faucet off the beach to wash off sand rather than bringing into room. Love the large hot tub. Property needs basic maintenance, such as some issues with the small hot tub in temp..too cold one night, too hot the next and something protruding from bottom that needs a cover so no injuries to feet. My toilet needed the handle held down to flush. Really appreciated the fridge, wish there would have been a microwave in the room. Appreciated access to other water parks for a change in scenery. 10 out of 10Everything was great, especially the staff. They helped us with directions to different sights and other questions we had. The room was nice and clean and comfortable.Breakfast was good, but after 4 days of the same eggs, sausage and fruit it got a little tiring. I know there were waffles and other items, but I think maybe having 1 different hot item everyday or every other day may add some spark to the breakfast. Yes, I would stay here again. 8 out of 10We enjoyed the location, the various water parks available to us, the walking distance to the city and the ferries. We did not enjoy that other residents were feeding the seagulls who then perched on our porch making it messy.The room was clean but seemed very dark and damp. Free breakfast and proximity to downtown are nice features as well. Stayed there last year when it was the Aqua Grand. Loved it then as well. Will be booking again in the future...has become my go to get away spot. Only draw back was the 3rd floor upstairs no elevator. 6 out of 10Door did not close well. There was a littel concern about all door locks being keyed to open from the outside. Sliding screen on beach side was in bad shape and constantly came off track. 10 out of 10My granddaughter loved the Waterpark and the pool! The front desk staff were pleasant and helpful and the room was clean and just right! We had a beachfront room and it was awesome having the beach right at our back door! I liked the easy access to the nearby hotels that shared breakfast areas and their waterparks with the Fairview; and the drive to downtown shops and the boats to Mackinac was easy and short! 10 out of 10Fairview couldn't give me the accomodations I wanted. They sent me to their sister hotel Bridge Vista View. We were given what we asked for and then some. Wesley at Fairview was very nice. The rate stayed the same and our accomodations were awesome. Would definitely go back!These comments are from a verified stay

8 out of 10We stayed 1 night, on June 9, 2011. They do not have elevators to take your luggage upstairs, so beware and request a first floor room if you are not capable of lugging stuff upstairs. We did have a beach front view and it was spectacular. Rooms were nice and updated in the not too distant past. My 6 year old son wanted to swim and use the splash pad. Some of the equipment on the splash pad was not working and the hot tub was "broken". We went to the pool, it was nice and warm (it was 52 degrees outside) and the hot tub there was "broken" Breakfast buffet was shared with the hotel next door. Food was good for a typical buffet, but there was plenty and the hot stuff was hot. Excellent value for a reasonable stay and the kids loved the water park and pool!! Overall very good.
