We loved our stay on the beach. breakfast fast good. you can just walk to the ferry dock from the hotel. My kids enjoyed the free water park passes in the evening to the near by hotel which is only a 3 blocks away from this hotel, since beach was little cold to enjoy in the evening we arrived. Frond desk people looked stressed to meet the demand of the people and all the telephone calls coming to the hotel.

Our stay at the Hamilton Inn was fine. The TV set did not work, but was promptly replaced by maintenance (Michael did a great job with this, even though his walkie talkie was constantly going off asking him to report to other jobs.) Variety of food offerings on the Breakfast bar was good. We had a 2 night stay, left for the day at 10 am, returned to the room at 4 pm, and the room had not been cleaned. Housekeeping showed up around 5 pm.

Everything was great, the location is perfect for everything! The only complaint we had was the pool area, both nights we were there there was a family in the pool area that was quite disruptive throwing beach balls around and not really caring if it hit people not in their group on the head. Both nights they were talked to about being disruptive but as soon as the staff left they just went right back to it. So relaxing in the hot tub or going for a swim was not an option either night and that was pretty disappointing that the family wasn't asked to leave the pool area for being a nuisance. Everything else was perfect though; the hot breakfast was great!!

The room was great and the service cleaning our room was outstanding. For the amount of people staying at the hotel and as busy as it is, getting breakfast was a little bit of a hassle, not enough seating, maybe should have 1-2 more waffle makers.

My wife and I stayed at the Hamilton Inn for 3 nights for our 30th wedding anniversary. Our stay was excellent! The room exceeded our expectations. Very clean; microwave and refrigerator. Flat screen TV. Free wifi. The bathroom was spacious with a whirlpool tub, separate shower and tv in the bathroom. Based on this stay, Hamilton Inn will be our first choice for future stays.

It was a wonderful stay. We really enjoyed ourselves and the location was prefect. We parked at the hotel when we arrived and we didn't have to get in the car again until we left. Doesn't get much better than that! The only constructive feedback I'd have is, the wifi didn't work well. Not a huge deal, but a little annoying at times. other than than, excellent stay, would stay there again and will recommend it.

Always stay in Mackinaw every spring and fall. Love it there. We stay at different hotels, just to have a change. We had an abundance of (fish flies?) this stay. which is not the hotel's fault, I had an injury so we were fine relaxing in the room.

The hotel is very nice and clean, Star Line Ferry Boats main dock they were using during our visit was a short drive away from the hotel. The dock that is connected to the hotel was not in use at the moment. The hotel staff was very nice at check in, I would stay here again.

Our second floor lakefront room was lovely. Breakfast was nicer than at most similar motels. The young lady at the front desk was extremely helpful with trolley and ferry tickets,which saved us both time and money. I would suggest that the gentleman that worked in the late afternoons be counseled about discussing personnel issues within earshot of guests. I did not want to know that the maid has a history of not changing the linens between guests who occupy the room! These issues should be dealt with but behind an office door!

We had planned to stay from Sunday to Thursday, but the girl accommodated us with a good weekend rate; so, we were able to stay 3 add'l days/nights. She also did her very best to see that we received the room that we requested and that was a Big plus to us! Every year that we plan to vacation in Mackinaw, we also plan to stay @ the Hamilton Inn Select. The rooms are very spacious and always clean! We really enjoy the Breakfast room as well; it's over-sized and when the breakfast time is over; you can just sit and relax, read, or whatever. The lady that works in the Breakfast room is Awesome! She makes sure there is plenty of food to eat and the coffee maker stays full; she cleans the tables right away after the guest leaves; she's just a very hard worker! The food is good too! but I would 'love' to have some fresh fruit but, other than that; it's well worth staying here. The hotel also has a very nice exercise room that we used daily and a swimming pool and whirlpool that we chose not to use this time, but it's a plus! We just enjoy our stay @ the Hamilton.

I made my reservation before I realized they didn't except pets. So I called them and explained my mistake and that our dog was a small chihuahua and house broke, they told me we could bring the dog as long as we were willing to pay a small fee. I was happy that I didn't have to look for another hotel. I had asked for a beach front room, which we got, but you weren't able to access the beach from the ground level balcony.

The Hotel was clean and the staff was very nice and cooperative. However the first night there were unruly guests on the fourth floor. Keeping us up after 1030 pm and prompting a call to the front desk. The desk staff immediately addressed the situation. Problem resolved and not repeated. The hotel breakfast was very good and well maintained.

It was clean. It was very quiet. There were over 200 high school band members staying there, we never would have known if we didn't run into them at breakfast! The breakfast was wonderful and they kept it warm and well stocked. Pool was nice. Staff was friendly. The lobby is beautiful! It was our children's first time in a hotel and they LOVED it! Thank you!
