I thought the staff was very kind and pleasant. The one woman behind the counter was very knowledgeable because she grew up around the area, so that was nice. The hotel was nice and the view off of the balcony was really nice. We could watch the ferry boats sail away, so that was cool. The daily breakfast that was provided was pretty good and they had a decent variety. I was kind of shocked that they did not have any eggs, but that is okay.

We originally booked a suite but, when we arrived it was explained to us that it had to be used for a tour group. In place of that, we received two very nice rooms on the water one of them was a room with a Jacuzzi. It ended up being a very nice surprise. Also very pleased with the cleanliness of the room. There was nothing that we needed that we didn't receive during our stay at the Hamilton Inn. The only negative was the rocky beaches, but you can't blame that on the property owner. All in all a very positive experience, and YOU will be pleased to stay at this location. The staff also provided valuable ways to save money.

We come to Mackinaw every year for our anniversary because that is where we got married. The past two years we've stayed at the Hamilton and have never been disappointed. Close enough to walk to town however not right in the downtown high traffic area. Beautiful beach as well!

We really enjoyed our stay the staff was friendly. The room was very clean! The view was wonderful! The only thing is the internet was not the greatest due to connection. However, we were on vacation and it was nice not to feel like you needed to be on the internet especially with Lake Huron being right outside our door! Loved the "lake pigeons" (sea gulls) right out side our patio door too! The extra large Jacuzzi tub was refreshing. We'll definitely stay here again when we are in the area.

We stayed in the king jacuzzi suite on the beach side. The view is breathtaking. I'd highly recommend having the beach side view, totally worth it! The free breakfast had a lot to choose from. If you want your own waffle be sure to get there early cuz the line grows very quick for it (2 machines and takes average of 3 minutes to cook/prepare). Bed was very comfortable. The rooms were very clean & nicely updated. Would definitely stay here again!!

Staff was very personable and helpful, even more so than last year when we stayed there. Housekeeping was great. Only disappointment I had was for some reason there was no scrambled eggs at breakfast and the hot tub was way too hot. I like this hotel because it has a really nice beachfront, we always get a balcony room, and it is right next to Starline so the kids get a kick out of watching the ferrys go back and forth and they create a tide in the water the kids like to play in.

The room was clean and very nice. Having a sandy beach outside of my beachfront, balcony room made the view of the lake even more enjoyable to look at. The staff were all very friendly and courteous! My only complaint was the fact that this was the first time my husband and I had ever been to Mackinac City, Mackinac Island, and the bridge and we were there for our 13th anniversary. We purchased tickets for the 8 p.m. trolley tour when we made our online reservations because we wanted to ride over the bridge when it was lit and they didn't tell us on Friday that there was a wedding on Saturday and that we would be picked up at 6:30 instead of 7:30. We would of went on Friday if they would of told us that at checkin. The lady just told us to let them know tonight or tomorrow. We almost missed the tour entirely. We just wanted to be able to sit next to each other and enjoy looking at it lit without one of us concentrating on driving. So, we didn't get to see it lit because of that. However; the man who does the tour is wonderful!
