It had everything we needed, the front desk girl work it out so we could check in early, because we had to catch the boat to the island for a weeding at 4:00.. They were great in helping us.

I loved the hotel n the staff was great . Right next to the ferry was nice. The hotel n room was very clean. The only thing that was not up to standard was water pressure in shower. The breakfast buffet was also very good. Would deffinetly stay there again.

When I checked in, the lady at the counter said I could upgrade to a suite with two separate bedrooms for $10 more. I did, and it was very nice to have more room and privacy for the three of us.

Our room was very nice. The pool and hot tub were perfect. The breakfast in the morning was the best we've had at a hotel with complementary breakfast. My only complaint was when I was checking in, and I overheard the front desk manager talk very rude to the employees working the check-ins.

Breakfast was nice, room/bathroom was clean. Staff was very friendly. Conveniently located by restaurants, party store, shops, and Starline ferry to Mackinac Island. Only minor annoyance I had was I booked this online for lakeside queen room. When we checked in, we found our room was given away and we could "pay an extra $10/night" for a lakeside view higher up in the hotel or have no lake view for less. $10/night isn't much, but still annoying.

Upon arrival we upgraded to one of the newer rooms on the 4th floor. Room was on beachside. Only difficulty was getting luggage up the last stairway, since the elevator only went to the third floor. Would like to see additional elevator access to the 4th. Room was nicely clean and supplied.

We always stay at Hamilton Inn Select for it's comfortable rooms, atmosphere, and breakfast. This visit was no exception. A year or so ago our room had temperpedic mattresses, my hope is that they will upgrade all rooms with this type of mattress.

Great hotel. My family and I stayed in one of the 2 room family suites for 2 nights. The room was very clean, especially the bathroom with the whirlpool tub! The staff was friendly and attentive but very bogged down at the same time due to it being so busy. The breakfast buffet gave us a lot of choices and left us satisfied. The pool area was nice and the hotel offered complimentary tickets to nearby water parks. Overall, a great hotel!

It was very nice. We booked for two nights 5/27 and 5/28. The room was clean and a nice view of the waterfront. The 25 ft breakfast buffet was so-so. they ran out of things including pancakes, my favorite. The Best Western looked very nice also. Were only able to stay one night because we got a call that my brother Greg was very sick and the Dr. wanted all family members there. He passed on the 31st of Pancreas Cancer. Didn't really get our vacation so maybe next year we will try again.

The hotel itself was average. The beds were some of the least comfortable I have ever slept on, but what brings the rating up significantly is the location and the price paid for the location. Located directly on the beach, we had a balcony room that looked out on the water. On top of this, the hotel is right next door to one of the Ferry's that takes visitors to Mackinac Island, which is incredibly convenient.

We've been coming to Mackinaw City for the last 34 years on memorial weekend as it's always within a few days of our anniversary and we honeymooned at the Grand.We used to try different hotels but after trying the Hamilton Inn about 16 years ago we have'nt stayed anywhere else because it has the best location to the ferry docks and is a short walk to the downtown Mackinaw area. The staff is always friendly and willing to help, the breakfast bar is a great touch especially if you have kids. The rooms are always clean and quiet and in all the years we've never had to call and complain about anything.....The whole family loves coming here every year......
