Hotel was fairly clean, especially for a beach front but could use some maintenance in public spaces. Long, confusing corridors. Breakfast was more than continental, but very average. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a room facing the lake and the view was just beautiful. We were up at 7:30 in the morning and the sun shining on the lake was a sight to see. The staff was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed a complimentary breakfast before walking on the beach right outside the hotel. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was always clean and all of the staff was friendly. The breakfast was good but it needs some variety, like fruits and maybe Danishes. There was always a long line waiting for the waffles to finish so I would recommend another waffle maker. The pool was nice and clean and the kids enjoyed the water park. The staff was helpful and kind as always. We will stay there again on our next visit hopefully next year. We really like the Hamilton Inn as we have stayed there three times now. Our only complaints are minor and not enough to not recommend it to our friends and family. On our first day our room had no towels and we had to go to the front desk to get some. I booked the room two days prior to our arrival and on the next day after booking the room the rates dropped twenty dollars per night. We were staying three nights so that was an extra sixty dollars plus tax that we had to pay. We were told we could not have the reduced rate because we were inside the 72 hour cancellation window so our reservations could not be changed. Your website says lowest rates guaranteed but I guess not. I did not even book 72 hours in advance. This was a spur of the moment decision and it cost us. I will not book in advance again but I will watch the rates and if they go up I will not go the next time. Lesson learned. The final complaint was that in our opinion the breakfast was not as good as it has been in the past. It was advertised that pancakes were being offered this year as something new but there wasn't any during our three days. Also the food did not seem as good as the sausage was very greasy and gravy seemed watered down for the biscuits.These comments are from a verified stay
