We had a balcony on Lake Huron with amazing views. The inn offered continental breakfast free each morning and it was wonderful. There was an indoor pool and hot tub but we didn't take advantage of this. It was an easy walk to restaurants and shops, and convenient to both ferrys. Customer service at the front desk was exceptional, and those ladies went beyond answering questions and being helpful. I would recommend the Hamilton Inn, and if I return to this area, I will stay at the Hamilton.I would also add that I received awesome information about the area in general from the Mackinaw City Chamber of Tourism which helped me plan my stay.These comments are from a verified stay2 people found this helpful. The view of the lake and the morning sunrise was spectacular. The room was clean and neat, bath a little outdated but still very clean.You are close to the ferry (quick walking distance) and buying your tickets at the hotel were cheaper than at the ferry gate. Many eating places to choose from and of course lots of shops,I would definitely recommend staying there. The rooms were clean, and everything was working. The only thing was that the shower head was a handheld thing, not very convenient. We did not realize that we got a barrier-free room.
