Staff was always very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and in satisfactory condition. Pool was fine. Breakfast was average - food shortages were frequent; it would have helped to have a second staff person helping out with keeping food supply at adequate levels.

We always stay at Hamilton Inn Select for it's comfortable rooms, atmosphere, and breakfast. This visit was no exception. A year or so ago our room had temperpedic mattresses, my hope is that they will upgrade all rooms with this type of mattress.

Great hotel. My family and I stayed in one of the 2 room family suites for 2 nights. The room was very clean, especially the bathroom with the whirlpool tub! The staff was friendly and attentive but very bogged down at the same time due to it being so busy. The breakfast buffet gave us a lot of choices and left us satisfied. The pool area was nice and the hotel offered complimentary tickets to nearby water parks. Overall, a great hotel!

It was very nice. We booked for two nights 5/27 and 5/28. The room was clean and a nice view of the waterfront. The 25 ft breakfast buffet was so-so. they ran out of things including pancakes, my favorite. The Best Western looked very nice also. Were only able to stay one night because we got a call that my brother Greg was very sick and the Dr. wanted all family members there. He passed on the 31st of Pancreas Cancer. Didn't really get our vacation so maybe next year we will try again.

We arrived late at night, I think around 11:00 p.m. The front desk staff people were terrific. Our room was clean and neat, and the property seemed to be well tended. We would definitely stay here again. It's a great value for the price.

The hotel itself was average. The beds were some of the least comfortable I have ever slept on, but what brings the rating up significantly is the location and the price paid for the location. Located directly on the beach, we had a balcony room that looked out on the water. On top of this, the hotel is right next door to one of the Ferry's that takes visitors to Mackinac Island, which is incredibly convenient.

We've been coming to Mackinaw City for the last 34 years on memorial weekend as it's always within a few days of our anniversary and we honeymooned at the Grand.We used to try different hotels but after trying the Hamilton Inn about 16 years ago we have'nt stayed anywhere else because it has the best location to the ferry docks and is a short walk to the downtown Mackinaw area. The staff is always friendly and willing to help, the breakfast bar is a great touch especially if you have kids. The rooms are always clean and quiet and in all the years we've never had to call and complain about anything.....The whole family loves coming here every year......

I bought a package room deal, the room was not ready when we arrived ( early evening). They did appologize, also we were registered at the hotel but had very hard time finding parking due to all the non registered people using the parking lot for the Bike a thon. Otherwise nice room ,beutiful view and had a good weekend overall, will be back.

We were given an upgraded suite which was large and beautifully appointed w/ a Jacuzzi and a queen and king bed in separate rooms. The only problem w/ the room was the electrical circuit may have been overloaded in the bathroom due to the tub . The circuit had to be reset 2x.Otherwise the room was great w/ a lakefront view and patio access to the beach. The breakfast buffet was good and well stocked. The location of the hotel was close to the Star Line ferry dock. Overall, the stay was excellent w/ only minor hiccups. We will definitely stay again and have recommended the facility to others who may not want to stay on the island.

The view from our room looking out at the water was great. The staff was very accommodating. We will definitely stay at the Hamilton Inn again. The shops that were open were interesting and not expensive. We got in late our first nite and went to the O'Reilly's Pub for fish and chips (fantastic) they were just closing but the bartender Porkchop was very nice and had the kitchen fix our meals to go. Definitely will go there again. We are already planning another visit to Mackinaw City.
