Rooms were nice and very clean. Staff was friendly. Breakfast wasn't too bad. The only down side was that the water pressure for the shower was very low, it was hard to rinse off the soap. also the toilet flushed sluggish. We did enjoy our stay though.

The desk clerks were very friendly. We took their advice and upgraded to a lakeside room. The view was fantastic and we were next to the loading dock which provided great entertainment. The room was very generous in size and clean. There were a few defects which we brought to the attention of the desk clerks and I believe they will be addressed. The breakfast bar is highly touted in the description and perhaps a bit exaggerated, but it filled our needs. The pool does not open until 11 a.m. which is a shame. Consequently, you cannot get in a swim before departure. The cleaning staff were wonderful and very cheerful and friendly. We had a great get away weekend and will most likely be returning. Kerene

It was a great room, clean and comfortable. Price was within reason. However there was some pealing of the wallpaper in the room that I believe should have been corrected. The breakfast was good but believe they should add some yogurt and fresh fruit to the assortment. More people are trying to eat healthier these days. Didn't get a chance to use the pool, we were too tired after all the walking each day. I would consider staying at this hotel again.

Noisy on the first floor ...breakfast was good. Staff polite and tried to accommodate requests. Pool was way over chlorinated. Rooms were comfortable but seagulls were a bit of an issue. Ppl above us fed them and the used our patio to wait for food.

Beautiful and lovely!! The complimentary breakfast was excellent. Everyone was very kind and helpful. A big plus was the ferry to Macinac Island was right outside the hotel door!! Will DEFINITELY be going back. :)

When we arrived our room was not ready yet. We still had almost 30 min before check in time so my fiance and I said not to worry we had sight seeing we wanted to do anyway we would just check back in when we finished the manager wad so sweet they upgraded our room to a suite for no adfitional charge. We tried to refuse abd just stick with our original room but they insisted best,cleanest,friendliest hotel I ever stayed at. We will definetly be staying at this hotel again.

We arrived about a half hour early, the lady at the desk went to the room to make sure it was ready for us. the room was very clean, we had a nice view of the lake. we visited the pool one time and it was really nice. the housekeepers were friendly and did a great job. I would recommend this hotel to everyone

The rate was good, the room was clean, the furnishings were in good order, the maintenance was good, and the linen and bed were good. The jacuzzi blew out sand and left a residue when we emptied it to refill it before we got in, which was troubling. The breakfast bar was okay, the food was not the best quality but it was hot and there was plenty. The view was excellent. The staff helpful. I will be back again at Christmas. Please make sure the Jacuzzi is in better shape.

Loved our stay, wonderful people, great suite and relaxing environment. The small little touches were perfect. Celebrated our 22nd anniversary, and the fresh flowers in the room, the fudge every night and the typed greeting wishing us a Happy Anniversary were all perfect. Would come back to the island and only stay here. Went to the Grand Hotel for a tour and would still stay at Main Street Inn & Suites & recommend it over anywhere else.

I guess if you had a ' very good rating', that is what I would have marked. I always feel there is room for improving. I always like when a hotel staff member asks us what floor we would like to be on and if we preferred a view of the lake. That would be one change to consider. The room was very clean and we enjoyed the breakfast provided each day. We would definitely stay with the Hamilton Inn again! I also liked that it was within walking distance to just about everything!

We thought this hotel offered a ton. The water was great, the food was awesome. Tons of hot food, like going to a buffet for breakfast.Our kids loved going to the different water parks...we went to a different one each day. the people who cleaned our room were very kind..spoke to our children very nicely and patiently when the kids where chatty.Would love to come back!!

Clean room, excellent price, close to ferry and walking distance to restaurants. Front desk attendant was knowledgeable but a little "robotic" when explaining details of the stay, like she was bored from saying them so many times. Granted it was late when we arrived and maybe she was just tired.

Even though our room wasn't not ready when we arrived at 1pm (had a wedding at 4pm which is when our room would be available) we were able to "upgrade" for $20 to a very, very nice room. Looked like it was recently renovated, had a huge flat screen tv plus one in the bathroom, all the finishes in the room were higher end, easy check-in & check-out. Friendly staff.

The hotel was nice and the view from the room was beautiful. Breakfast was good but the pancake machine wasn't working so that was disappointing. The parking spots were small when you consider how many SUVs were there. All of that being said, we would stay at this hotel again.

Stayed at Hamilton 2 nights and the room was awesome. This 4th floor had only one drawback. The lift ends 3rd floor and we had to take the stairs up. Unfortunately my companion had a back problem and it turned out to be a slight hussle. Clean and overly spacious. Loved it.

The room was very nice. We had made the reservation online for a Queen room at a certain rate. When we arrived we were told that they no longer offered those rooms but we could have a King with a Jacuzzi for an additional $10.
