We love the 2 bed and a couch suite on the Lakefront, with a balcony! It is a great layout for a stay in Mackinaw and has everything we need. We thought the room cleanliness was good, as was the hot tub and pool area. I did not have a long wait to check in, but there were several times I noticed long lines for checking in and it seemed like there was only 1 staff member available. Seems like the front desk may have been short staffed during these times.

We stayed there many times but this time the room was updated and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only issue is that the beach was dirty with discarded bottles from ignorant people and it was not cleaned in the morning.

The ONLY complaint were the COVID restrictions, and the obvious lack of summer help due to the short season. Customer service everywhere in Mackinaw City and on the Island was amazing! We loved being within walking distance to downtown and the ferries. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, making reservations when they could for us, and we really enjoyed having the beach right outside our door!

A nice hotel. The room was large with a nice view of the lake. I could faintly see the grand hotel through the fog and rain we unfortunately had during our stay. The only down side I saw during our stay is the hotel could use some updates. The carpet is one place that could be updated and vacuumed in the stairs/ elevator for frequently. Overall I would stay at this hotel again.

Our reception was warm and caring. It was foggy when we arrived and we wanted to purchase our tickets for the Ferry and Carriage ride for the Island for the next day and the receptionist wanted to be sure we understood that the tickets were non-refundable even if the weather was bad. She also went over the map of the City and told us all about the restaurants.

We have stayed here for a few years running. Clean spacious rooms, all facing the water. You can watch the waves roll in and out from your bed or balcony! Breakfast area is not fancy, but hot and cold offerings are available - very sufficient to get the day rolling. The walk into the heart of town might be a mile (Central Ave.?) - but it feels really short as storefronts present all along the way. (Or take your car - for a one minute ride there!) I expect to be back here next year again!
