We were able to walk to the downtown area for dinner, shopping, and a movie. 8 out of 10We had a balcony room with a lovely view of the water; and sheplar's dock. The personnel at the front desk and laundry were exceptionally nice and helpful. The motel is older but beds very good and other accomodations fine. We liked the pictures of the ships and lighthouses because they go with the area. The B'fast bar was comparable to some other motels where we have been - nothing fantastic - but the usual waffles, cereals eggs sausage etc.The one thing that could be improven upon were the steps up to the 3rd floor they need a good cleaning. vmgThese comments are from a verified stay

Breakfast was a good variety, scambled eggs, sausage, fruits, bagels, make your own pancakes, juices, coffee, tea. Clean. Did get a chance to swim, or go to the waterpark, but looked appealing. Check in at 3p and check out by 11. Staff friendly and helpful. Mackinaw City of Chamber offered the hotel reservation, with added discount to ferry, waterpark, for most of the hotels. 10 out of 10I stayed before at Hamilton down the street. It was poor. Room down grade because a bus arrived before me so they gave our room away. Plus billing errors to correct when it came. So bad they gave me a chamber free night stay gift card. When using it the ramada called me back after making the reservation to say they now exceed 80% and would not honor it. I asked for the manager to call me to discuss this and he never did. Best western was fantastic. Great room, breakfast and nice maids. I will go back there.
