The Super 8 Bridgeview is the only log cabin hotel in Mackinaw City. The Super 8 Bridgeview is conveniently located directly across from 1000 feet of Lake Huron Beach at the base of the Mackinac Bridge. Colonial Fort Michilimackinac and the Mackinac Lighthouse are within 500 feet of the hotel. Walk to the downtown area, enjoy a drink at the historical Dixie Saloon, and enjoy the free nightly laser light show. Shopping and Mackinac Island ferries are within walking distance. Directly across the street is a State Park, beach, kayak rental and the most incredible, up front and personal, view of the Mackinac Bridge! When I inquired at the desk, I was told it was being serviced, which was understandable. However, I had the same problem the next day. My only other criticism (and this was very minor) was that their breakfast area was too small to accommodate the number of guests who were dining. 8 out of 10Check-in was a hassle because they did not have our reservations we booked with this site. We had to bring up our email confirmation on our phone to get the booked price. We stayed in the family suite and all got great sleep. There was plenty of room for everyone. The pool use was okay but with no staff monitoring the pool area, one night 3 kids dominated the entire area performing some unsafe activities. It made it unpleasant for others. We had an RV so it was nice that they had parking alongside the building. I love the location! It was within walking distance to the lighthouse and Michilamackinaw fort. The breakfast was disappointing, especially for people with food allergies. It's definitely first come, first serve as nothing seemed to be refilled. When we arrived around 9:30am, 3 of the 4 drinks were empty. We did not eat breakfast there our second day because of this.These comments are from a verified stay
