The Beach House is a family owned and operated resort run with pride and integrity. We are the last stand of cottages on the water in Mackinaw City. We are 1 mile east of downtown. There are sidewalks and a bike trail to get to town.
Seven cottages sit directly on the beachfront the others back up in a U shape from the beach. Everyone staying at the Beach House has access to our private beach. The Beach House is pet friendly (small pet fee) with 2 animals maximum. All hotel rooms in Michigan are non smoking. Smoking is permitted outdoors.

10 out of 10Great hotel in a great location. The water views and great lawn were awesome. We enjoyed sitting on the lawn and taking in the scenery, sights and sounds. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed dining in at your hotel restaurant. It offered us outstanding service and a menu with a lot of variety and selections. The only area of improvement we saw was at check-in. Less than five people waiting to check in, and it took 20 - 25 minutes to get our room. The only problems were that the drain closure in the tub didn't stay open to allow the water to drain quickly and it would be nice if there were more accessible outlets for recharging electronics. Clean, beautiful view and bonfires on the beach every night. Shuttles available to town, just call the manager and he will arrange it for you! Manager is very helpful. 10 out of 10I absolutely adore The Beach House. By far one of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed at. We stayed in cottage 31, right next to the road, and never had an issue sleeping. We even napped in the middle of the day when traffic is the most loud, and was never woken up once. These beach houses get a 10/10 in my book! Love this place.These comments are from a verified stay

The rooms and cabins are kept very clean, and we’re exactly what we were hoping for. I have been to Mackinac city many times and have passed by this I never knew what a great place it was. I am so happy to have stayed there and will definitely do it again. The beach is literally in the backyard, you get a heated pool, and free day passes to the indoor water park next door. Everything was very clean and well managed. 8 out of 10The Beach house cabins were quaint and cozy, And had everything that we needed for our stay. I loved that they were pet friendly so we were able to bring our dog with us on our visit to the island and around town. The only reason I am rating 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the lack of information on the website for the beach house. I had to dig into FAQs on Google to find check-in and check-out times and this wasn't confirmed until we showed up. I also own a very large dog and did not find out that there is a weight limit of 50lbs on dogs until I arrived, though we were still allowed to stay. Additionally, there needs to be a better system for reservations over the winter. Although I booked on February, I was on a wait-list for the cabin I booked without my knowledge until the town opened in May. There was a chance we had to stay at the hotel, which again would have been completely fine, but could be avoided by investing in a more advanced reservation system that would be able to identify this, as it could cause issues with others in the future. Finally, though this is very minor, the brochure and information online states that there are muffins served in the morning for breakfast, but we were advised this ended 2-3 years ago. Again, information just needs to be updated on brochures and websites. Other than this, everything about our stay was wonderful. Our room didn’t have a microwave so we couldn’t enjoy our doggie bag snacks without getting dressed and walking all the way to the lobby.
