10 out of 10The hotel was fine but the most extraordinary thing was the lady on the reception. She was a great human being and helped me and my family immensely, in every way she could. Unfortunately doesn't her name but wanted to give a very big shout out for something specifically that she did for us. The room that I booked in this hotel was having just a queen bed which was a mistake to book and which understandably couldn't accommodate all my family (five persons, two adults and 3 kids). When I went inside and noticed how small it was I went back to her and informed that I didn't realize that the room would be so small for which she replied that she herself was surprised why I chose such a small room. I explained that it was my mistake and I didn't pay too much attention while I was making reservation. That nice lady without asking me upgraded to a bigger room and made this whole experience so awesome. Thanks to her.These comments are from a verified stay

8 out of 10Motel was fairly clean. Beds were decently comfortable. Bathroom was spotless which was a huge bonus. Only complaint was it was slightly musty which is to be expected as Im sure theyre shut down for a majority of the year due to winter. But overall it was pretty good. However, there is access to the 2 water parks in the town and I DO NOT recommend either one. Went to check out both and they are both not only dated but the water at both was cloudy and dingy looking. You could not see your feet if you were brave enough to go in the water. The emerald cove one said it had waterslides which it did but they were blocked off and the pool beneath them was empty and gross looking. Also the lazy river was also cloudy and yellowish brown looking. I wouldnt let my child in either one especially since I wouldnt venture into either one as well. Mind you, we stayed the first weekend in August so you should think that they would be up to date and busy.These comments are from a verified stay

10 out of 10The room was PERFECT. The Manager, Terry, was AHmazing! It was comfortable and very reasonable. Sure, it needed some updates and maintenance but for the price it was absolutely perfect. The bathroom was tiny and I stubbed my toe trying to straddle the door during the dark of night. The good part was the vanity was outside of the bathroom so plenty of room for two or three to get ready simultaneously. Very quite and very clean and the room itself was spacious. 8 out of 10People were nice but it weird that there are two budget hotels right next to each other and the first one is the one you register at and and they offered us to stay there instead, because the only rooms left at Mackinaw where in the 2nd level and I preferred the 1st level. Rooms where nice but you can hear every car door open and close like it’s right outside your door. 1st night was a little rough getting to sleep but the 2nd night was quite. 10 out of 10I called this motel with less than 12 hours before my husband and I were leave on vacation because the previous hotel “cancelled our reservation” because she didn’t want us to stay there. This place was extremely accommodating and very pleasant to deal with. First, when we called she explained to me that there would be a phone number to call when we got there and that person would come and check us in. However, when we arrived we did not need to call the number because she waited there for us knowing we were coming in late. We arrived around 1:30 am and she was very pleasant and made the check in process very easy. When we woke up the next morning and went to check out it was the same lady at the desk and she still had an extremely pleasant disposition for having very little sleep. She recommended a place for breakfast that was excellent. My husband and I will be staying at the Budget Inn Motel again. Thank you!These comments are from a verified stay
