I had called the Chamber for a recommendation between the Dockside and the Hampton, as I was bringing my fiance for a weekend, and he has never been to the city/island before. The Dockside was absolutely beautiful...they gave us a jacuzzi room, right on the beach...it was wonderful to listen to the water breaking on the beach at night. The staff were very friendly and helpful, but I wish the breakfast would have offered more, and there wasn't much seating to eat in. I would recommend this hotel again and again!

Loved the room with the balcany overlooking the water. Our tv remote was missing and they brought one right away. The breakfast room was larger than soom and had room to serve many guests at one time. L would definitly stay here again

The Best Western Dockside is a nice, clean hotel. The pool area is kept up well, but it is way too warm & humid. It would have been nice to open the sliding doors a little bit to get air flow. Housekeeping was thorough, but slow. The hotel's proximity to everything was wonderful and a big selling point. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay and we will recommend the BW to others.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The rooms were great and the staff was helpful. We got complimentary tickets to the water park just down the street at another hotel, which the kids loved. I left my glasses in my room and the staff located them and mailed them tome the following week. My only complaint would be the hotel could have sent the glasses back gratis, but they required a credit card to pay for postage. A truly nice touch would have been to send them to me for no charge. But we still loved it and will be back again for our next trip to Mackinaw City.

We spent 7 weeks touring the country and I think our stay in Mackinaw City and Mackinaw Island was the highlight of our trip. The Best Western was very nice just a little tired. We were so impressed with our visit we're talking about visiting your area again. Talk about a hidden gem!

Very clean room. Awsome view. Beach was clean with lots of lounge chairs and plenty of sand to play in. Everything is within walking distance. Staff was real friendly and helpfull. Included breakfast was very nice and great selection of food. Would highly recommend.

We have stayed at the dockside a couple of times, we like the location, it's very clean, we had a nice room with a view of the water, we were a little disappointed that we were the end room so the view wasn't as nice as the last time, but other than that it was good. we would prefer a microwave in the room other than having to walk down to the lobby to use one. overall, we were were pleased.

There was not anything that was bad. It is just that it is just an average hotel. The lakeview rooms have a great view, but the balcony is small and awkward, and the sliding door was hard to move. I would stay there again, going in with lower expectations than I had before my previous stay.

Everything was great. The hotel was close to everything. The room was on the beach, clean, large and the foam bed was wonderful. The free breakfast was very good and the braekfast room was clean and pleasant. The pool area was clean too. The only problem we had was the security card to enter the room. We had to go to the front desk to have them reprogram it. As we left I told them they had a nice place not to change anything. My rating, VERYGOOD

My husband and I stayed at the Dockside afew times and always enjoy it. When we first arrived we were assigned a room on the 2nd floor. When we asked if we could have a room on the main floor of the hotel, the staff were more than happy to accommodate our request. We ended up near the pool and hot tub. Which was nice because it wasn't far to walk. We find it very reasonably priced. The rooms are very nice and clean. All in all we had a great stay and will definitely stay there again when we're visiting Mackinaw City.

We didn't like the fact that the building wasn't enclosed. The weather was raw the weekend we were there with high winds, rain and snow. It was nasty walking from our room to the breakfast room. And because of the weather, we did not use the pool and hot tub.

My lake front room was outstanding. It was beautifully deoorated and well taken care of. The outside corriders were a deterent. It was cold, with a rain and snow mix, and very windy that weekend so it was not pleasant in the outside corriders. I did not use the pool because I would have had to use the outside corriders to get there. Parking to my room and elevator was not always convenient. Breakfast was good but not convenient to my room.

Five months after our stay at your hotel, it's a little difficult to remember it exactly,especially when we stayed at 3 other hotels on our trip.
