The Hamilton is really an excellent hotel. I asked for a 3rd story balcony room overlooking Lake Huron and was accommodated. Beautiful sunrise view. Very clean rooms, very personable staff. The quality of the breakfast food was not very good. Other than that, The Hamilton is a great stay!

Our stay was very pleasant. The staff is very friendly and helpful. As always the room was clean and comfortable. This is our favorite place to stay when visiting Mackinaw City. The large breakfast room is a great place to relax with a cup of coffee after a busy day enjoying the sights. Pet free is a big plus, for us with allergies.

Very nice and well appointed. Loved hearing the lake at night from our room. Our only small disappointment was that the dining was separate from the hotel structure since we really weren't planning on leaving our room, would have loved to grab something quick and convenient and the restaurant was a bit too formal for our needs. Very nice stay.

Clean, comfortable, great location, Tim was very helpful at the front desk. The lady minding the breakfast area was not very friendly. It was probably because she needed more help. Food was not replenished timely and we had to clean off a table ourselves since they were all dirty. The door going down the stairs from second floor BANGED loudly every time someone used it.

Our room was lakefront view which was lovely. It was spacious and very comfortable. We purchased tickets for the carriage ride on Mackinac Island, the evening trolley tour and the boat ride to the island in advance and the front desk had everything waiting for us. The folks at the front desk were friendly and very willing to help with anything we needed. We were disappointed in the breakfast buffet. It was very basic and all Styrofoam cups and plates. I think they could upgrade the presentation somewhat. There was no bacon and the eggs appeared to be the dehydrated variety, not fresh scrambled. We found another place down the street that was a very good breakfast spot.

I loved the fact that they called the night of my reservation to confirm that I was coming. I also like the fact I got upgraded. Breakfast was really nice. The room could be maintained a little better from normal wear and tear that occurs. But, it was clean and staff was friendly.

Very fair priced for location and view. The room was very nice and the beds were very comfortable. The hotels check-in/out staff were very courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable about their jobs and also about local area directions and events. The free breakfast bar was appreciated and was good. Hallways seemed very narrow and luggage carts were available, though one small elevator and narrow halls were a bit of a squeeze to share with guests and housekeeping, but still effective, and noticeably quiet. Housekeeping staff was very good and courteous. The rooms were very clean and stocked with towels, washcloths, shower floor mats, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and coffee and coffee maker, and hair dryer. Room air conditioning was good and also very quiet. Very good parking availability right in front of hotel.

We booked at another hotel across the street which was very disgusting. I called Hamilton to see if there were any rooms available and Tim was excellent and explained the cancellation policy in regards to chamber hotels and made sure that my transition between the hotels went very smoothly. Excellent customer service from Tim and a very nice hotel. We will be back!

Great hotel to stay in! It is right by the boat docks to Mackinaw Island and a quick walk to restaurants and shops. The bonus was having the beach right out our sliding door wall. Would stay there again next time we come up that way!

Overall, hotel met our needs. Didn't like that 4th floor didn't have elevator. Pool water was a bit cold. Beach was not great--not a lot of space. Location was great--easy walking to everything in downtown.
