Very friendly staff who greeted us when we walked in the door. As a bonus our room was upgraded at no extra charge The room was very spacious and clean. The breakfast room was also very large and had good food choices.

Occupancy at the hotel seemed to be at capacity, but our room was quiet. The room was clean, bed comfortable. Beautiful sunrise from the balcony. Our only complaint was the front desk clerk who checked us in. He was condescending almost to the point of being rude, didn't give us any helpful information such as the breakfast hours or the wifi password. This gentleman needs to go to customer college.

We changed our stay to 9/29, and had to change the room type at arrival. The staff were SO accommodating, and loved the rooms we ended up with. We booked for our return trip home and the staff remembered us from the previous one night stay. The staff couldn't have been nicer, and were very accommodating to 2 travel weary travelers. The front desk staff performed as if it was their hotel, and their reputation on the line with their service. His name was Terry, and I'm sorry, I can't remember the young lady's name, but they made the stay.

We were very impressed with our stay. The room was up to date and very comfortable. The breakfast offered a variety of items and if you did not leave full, that was your own fault. We had a lovely view of the lake and there were two chairs to sit and observe. Unfortunately it was a rainy evening. Should we ever return to the area, we would stay again. We have already recommended to friends.

We have stayed at the Hamilton several times and it has always been pleasant. Clean rooms and a friendly staff. We had booked a two night stay at the Clarion in July. Stayed only one night and we were lucky enough to get a room at the Hamilton for our second night. Clarion room was over sprayed with freshener, noisy air conditioner and bathroom fan didn't operate properly. Will not return to the Clarion. Go with what you know!

Excellent only problem was arriving at noon and not being able to check in tell four We had flown into detroit then drove up made a very long day The mac family pack was great even my friends on the island who have had business for 50 years on island said it was great

I was very happy with our hotel room overall. Definitely would stay there and recommend to others. I do want to mention the young man who checked us in was very rude and dismissive. Several times we watched him interact with other customers and treated them the same, it was a bother to have to put down his cell phone and answer questions.When I went to purchase our tickets to the ferry there was a older man who waited on me and he was very pleasant and helpful.If I ever get a chance to come back I wiould book your hotel again, the view in the morning from our balcony was wonderful.

Very nicely appointed hotel within walking distance of Shepler's Ferry as well as many stores, restaurants and fudge shops. If you don't wish to walk to the ferry, there is a shuttle available at a moments notice. The room was spacious and very clean and our view was gorgeous. Would definitely stay here in the future.

We were upgraded to a suite with spa, so it was exceptional room, especially for the price. Spa, shower, beds, two private rooms linked by a mini hallway, were great, but what I loved the best was hearing the waves of lake Huron just below our balcony. Such a peaceful night. The only thing missing was a night light. The room was pitch black and none of the wall sconce lights worked.that could have provided a bit of light so we could find our way to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Perhaps light bulbs were missing. I left a note for the maids about it.
