The Hamilton is our go to hotel in Mackinaw City. Great staff, most comfortable beds I've ever slept in, & the rooms are clean & spacious. We have never had a bad experience at the Hamilton. The breakfast bar is well stocked and delicious!

Stay was great, people were very friendly. View of the lake in the morning was stellar and very peaceful. I'd love it if you didn't use as much disposable cutlery/plates.etc at breakfast. That is a lot of waste when two dishwashers might be cheaper in the long run. Just a thought. I'm sure it is a hard decision to make though given the volume of guests. Kudos on the Carbon's Malted Flour mix! They truly make the best waffles :)

My stay was business and was generally good. I was stranded in St. Ignace over night because of the bridge shut down. This was beyond anyones control. It opened at 6:00 AM so I went to my room showered, ate breakfast and began my business day. I slept in my car in St. ignace. there were no rooms available.I was grateful to have the room to go to after a night in my car.

We were offered an upgrade to a larger room instead of purchasing a cot for the same price, which we much appreciated. It was off of the breakfast room so we knew we wouldn't be sleeping in and weren't surprised at the volume. Breakfast wasn't that good but it was free. Hotel was very clean and nice. Only one waterpark was open due to time we chose to go up and that was geared towards younger kids. Kids were happy with the pool and hot tub. Front desk staff were very nice and accommodating, especially with kids. Beautiful views. Would stay again in late spring, summer when everything is open.

Nice room. Great rate. Very friendly, helpful staff. Brennan at front desk went above and beyond to assist us in our needs when we arrived with 2 small sick kids. Continental breakfast one of the best compared to what others offer. Large, very spacious breakfast room. We have stayed here several times in the past year and will stay again.

First time staying here had the King Bed, Balcony Lakeview, Jacuzzi bathroom everything was GREAT . Bed was very comfortable, sheets & towels clean, bathroom very clean as well. Morning breakfast bar wow scrambled eggs,sauage biscuits gravy, fruit make your waffles, toast cereal. Staff friendly. NO issues will difinity stay here again. Our visit was March 3rd & 4th 2017.

I would've liked to have had more storage room in the room. Also there was a loud noise in our bathroom walls that was constant and no air flow in the small bedroom. Other than that, the beds were comfortable, there were plenty of places to charge our electronic devises, things were clean and staff was friendly.

Very clean. The room was a great size. The only downfall was the bed. It was a little to hard for my liking. Also did not like being near the stairs. We heard people going up and down until 1am.

The room was great! The view was amazing from our balcony! But, as soon as I got in town around 8pm, someone from the hotel called to say if we didn't check in within 10 minutes they were giving our room away. I told them we had just arrived in town and were taking pictures of the bridge and we would be there within a hour. That wasn't good enough for them. I even called early in the day to let them know we would be arriving late in the evening due to how far of a drive it was for us! They noted on the reservation we were paying cash on arrival, but still they tried to authorize my credit card before my arrival. I work the front desk at a hotel, and I understand there are different policies, but honestly I feel it was rude. That's really wrong to tell someone you'd give their room away of they didn't check in within 10 minutes, especially since we drove for over 6 hours to get there!!! What if I would have been a hour away? Would my room have been given to someone else? The customer service isn't the best, but like I said the room was great. Would I stay there again, yes! But only because the view was great and the room was so nice!

This hotel was very nice! We paid the extra $10 to be on the lake side and it was worth it. A great restaurant bar next door. Good, a bit higher priced but looked good. Drinks were perfect. We walked down the road to the Irish pub to eat. Very good and welcoming too. We were there close to off season so places close early be prepared. Breakfast was awesome with eggs, sausage gravy, biscuit and more! Would stay again!

Hotel was beautiful. Beach was nice. I'm sure it would be fantastic in the summer. Didn't try the pool but it looked like it would have been fun. Breakfast had a good assortment . Rooms were large and had comfy beds. Wifi worked fine.

The reviews were accurate. The hotel is in a great location. The beach area is lovely. The rooms are clean, updated and very well equipped. The employees at the front desk were efficient and helpful. The lady in charge of the breakfast room was incredible, given that we were there on a very busy week-end.
