The younger girl at the front desk was beyond helpful with things to do and places to eat. She spent a long time answering our questions and helping us to find the most economical way to do everything we wanted. She may have been the managers daughter. The beach was beautiful and peaceful, the breakfast was nice and everyone was so helpful and polite. I would highly recommend.

The room was clean and the view was pleasant. Some of the staff could not answer our questions, the TV channel card was out of date and the staff couldn't supply an accurate one. Otherwise we were satisfied.

My only suggestion is to check the screen doors that open onto the beach. We stayed on room 107 and it had many spots that needed to be fixed. We love to open the door and hear the waves hit the shoreline from the ferry

We like this hotel the most because it has a 2 room suite that has 2 separate bedrooms and bathrooms and is perfect for our family to stay in......we also purchased tickets for the ferry boat and other things on the island online and at great prices......good breakfast buffet........clean rooms......great location.....

Beautiful hotel, gorgeous views from balcony, wonderful beachfront area, great swimming pool! Breakfast offerings could be improved some, but otherwise we loved staying here and we loved how close, walking distance, shops and restaurants were to the hotel! This would be the place we'd choose to stay when we come up there again!

My husband and I were celebrating our 52nd wedding anniversary. The staff were friendly and very helpful and even took our picture for us. We were so happy to learn that our ferry was in walking distance from the hotel. The breakfast buffet was very good, especially the waffles! We would gladly stay at the Hamilton again.

I thought the staff was very kind and pleasant. The one woman behind the counter was very knowledgeable because she grew up around the area, so that was nice. The hotel was nice and the view off of the balcony was really nice. We could watch the ferry boats sail away, so that was cool. The daily breakfast that was provided was pretty good and they had a decent variety. I was kind of shocked that they did not have any eggs, but that is okay.

We originally booked a suite but, when we arrived it was explained to us that it had to be used for a tour group. In place of that, we received two very nice rooms on the water one of them was a room with a Jacuzzi. It ended up being a very nice surprise. Also very pleased with the cleanliness of the room. There was nothing that we needed that we didn't receive during our stay at the Hamilton Inn. The only negative was the rocky beaches, but you can't blame that on the property owner. All in all a very positive experience, and YOU will be pleased to stay at this location. The staff also provided valuable ways to save money.

We come to Mackinaw every year for our anniversary because that is where we got married. The past two years we've stayed at the Hamilton and have never been disappointed. Close enough to walk to town however not right in the downtown high traffic area. Beautiful beach as well!

We really enjoyed our stay the staff was friendly. The room was very clean! The view was wonderful! The only thing is the internet was not the greatest due to connection. However, we were on vacation and it was nice not to feel like you needed to be on the internet especially with Lake Huron being right outside our door! Loved the "lake pigeons" (sea gulls) right out side our patio door too! The extra large Jacuzzi tub was refreshing. We'll definitely stay here again when we are in the area.
