Room was clean, very comfortable, nicely furnished and in excellent repair. The only issues I had were minor, otherwise I would have given an Outstanding rating: the gentleman who checked us in at the front desk lacked a welcoming personality, although he did perform the check-in functions completely. And, our room was missing coffee cups so I was not able to make use of the coffee maker. I will say that the young woman at the front desk was very helpful and pleasant. She recommended restaurant and services around town, which was very helpful and made us feel at home. Look forward to returning for another visit to Mackinaw City. Pool and whirlpool area was attractive as was the entire facility. Breakfast was fantastic with everything imaginable and again clean, spacious and lovely. The staff were helpful and efficient. The room was beautiful and everything was in working order. We had a wonderful stay and would go there again. Our room was a king -jacuzzi suite. It was very nice. Very clean. Great view. Breakfast was good. Hot. Plenty to choose from - way more than you get at most hotels that include breakfast in their room price. And there was plenty of room to sit to eat. In our 2 room suite we had 3 TVs. One in each bedroom and one in the bathroom. My husband was in heaven! I have read comments about the front desk staff - they weren't the friendliest, but I didn't have any problems with them. Overall a good experience for us - but I could see that during the busy season it might not have been a great experience. The screen door on the balcony was off the track and appeared to have been that way for some time. Thus, we were not really able to open the door easily. Other than that, the hotel was very nice.
