Customer service could have been more informative upon registering...regarding offering the in-room internet password, which I did go down and ask for that evening. I gathered thru our booking, that there was mention of pool bands for other hotels...although none were offered nor was it mentioned by out hotel. However, we didn't end up in the pool...so it wasn't a biggie for us. But if offered thru your booking, I believe our hotel should be aware and mention it to us unpon our arrival .

When I reserved a room online for Hamilton Inn, although the website said the room was available. I received a call from the inn stating the room was not available. The had called Best Western and found me a room for the same price which was an outstanding service. The Best Western room was okay but I was really wanting to try out the Hamilton inn. I rate the service at Hamilton Inn outstanding for locating another hotel to my stay, Best Western as good. I had purchased discounted add on's for our stay, that were not readily available at Best Western at check in. However after 10-15 minutes they were able to get the tickets to me.

We loved our room and the view of the lake. The value of the room for what we got was great. The breakfast buffet you offer was something we have never experienced. So many choices - there was something for everyone. We would definitely stay with you again! One thing I would suggest is that your front desk people tell the guests about different things that are close to the hotel. We wanted to take the trolley, but discovered that it had already left by the time we came back from supper. We will take it next time we come.

Breakfast was average...the view was spectacular...hotel room did not have a guide book or hotel amenities so I had to keep calling front desk for hotel information such as pool times, information regarding tanning capsule and my WIFI connection would not connect.

There was a slight mix-up when we arrived with our rooms not being ready. I had reserved 2 rooms with one queen on the lake side. We ended up with 2 rooms with 2 queens. Not a problem and the rooms were very nicely appointed and very clean. The breakfast bar was good, too.

My husband and I are just over-whelmed by the friendly staff that greets you at the desk. The rooms are spacious, clean, & we just enjoy our stay each time we visit over the years. We enjoy the swimming area & the whirlpool. I personally enjoy the breakfast area; because after eating, you can just chill in there and read or whatever. I would like to see fresh fruit & yogurt added to the menu of breakfast and maybe take away the donuts & mixed fruit.Just a suggestion to be considered. We might come back next month to see the Fall colors! We just enjoy Mackinaw City at the Hamilton Inn Select.

Loved the view from our room. Could watch the sun rise and enjoyed leaving our screen door cracked a little at night to listen to the waves. Enjoyed the nice big bathroom equipped with TV. Everyone was helpful at the front desk also.

The view was breathtaking! The room was comfortable and the breakfasts were amazing in the morning. Only 2 small issues. The air conditioning was loud and did not cool the room as well as we would have liked. And if you are lucky enough to be on the fourth floor, be aware that the elevator only goes to 3. So you have to haul your luggage up a couple small flights of stairs. Not a deal breaker by any means. We would definitely go back!

Given the amount of guests that all the hotels in your area serve, the Hamilton always seems to be in "good shape." I visit late in the summer season, before the wear and tear can be taken care of in the "off" season. And the house keeping staff has, over multiple visits, always been very respectful and polite when dealing with my privacy issues (I have OCD, so it is hard to have them do more than take out the trash). If it was just based on house keeping staff, the Hamilton would be rated excellent. The only "bad" thing I could say about my stay may not be Hamilton's fault but may reside with booking through another party. I requested either a second or third level room and was placed on the first floor. Not a big deal, but it would have been nice just to be informed (something like) "saw your request, but it isn't available." Whether that was how I booked or at the hotel's end...? Overall, I enjoy the Hamilton. If I didn't, I wouldn't keep booking there. (I use to stay at the Best Western, but got tired of year after year of excuses from them. Maybe that is the best thing I can say about the Hamilton, they don't seem to jerk people around.)

We were extremely satisfied with the Hamilton Beach. If there had been a "very good" we would have rated it at that. Front Desk was helpful and efficient. Rooms were very good and the view was magnificent! We used the pool and were most satisfied. Breakfast was very acceptable. We also used the restuarant across the road from the hotel and were pleased with our meal there. All in all we considered it very good value for money and will definitely consider using the hotel again on a return visit.
