The desk staff is welcoming and all of the other staff is friendly and super friendly. Being able to sit on the deck or on the beach is a plus for the traveler. Each clerk at the desk was very polite and friendly.Unfortunately, the room and balcony of the room were in need of cleaning and repairs. There was lots of damage to the bathroom (with tiles broken, loose, and missing) and cracks in the walls in the room, that have not been addressed. The balcony area was quite dirty and the siding was coming away from the structure. It would also be nice for a breakfast to be included, as is the case at most hotels we visit, although I know that would not contribute to the restaurants in the area.These comments are from a verified stay

Room nice but missing little things: for example no tables next to the comfortable chairs, no hooks.On the plus side, the room does have a fireplace. 8 out of 10The Beach and Bay was very nice, a good value for the money. Great view from our balcony! My only complaint is that the pool was way too cold to use (78 degrees, brrrrrr). I didnt go in any deeper than my knees before heading to the hot tub. Even my husband, who is much tougher than I only stayed in for a couple minutes. I was looking forward to exercising in the pool so that was disappointing. Otherwise everything was very nice. We liked having two areas in our room. I think the whole place needs to be updated and repaired, and the beach needs to be cleaned up- too many weeds. However, the maintenance and cleanliness have gone downhill terribly over the past few years. The vents and tops of the windows/curtains were caked with dust and cobwebs. Several items needed to be repaired. My husband and I will try it again, because we really like the lake view, balconies and location, as well as the employees That being said, I wouldnt dare recommend it to anyone else because of the poor maintenance and cleanliness.These comments are from a verified stay

Hopefully in the off season they fix other items like lose base boards, bathroom ceiling and wall around tub/shower.
