10 out of 10Clean, quiet, and roomy. Loved the spiral staircase and the décor. Front porch with table and chairs was a plus as we are outdoor lovers. Breakfast was wonderful and pool area was an added bonus. Will definitely stay again and have been recommending the Cabins of Mackinaw to our friends! 8 out of 10I have always enjoyed visiting Mackinaw City. I chose Cabins of Mackinaw because of my wife. She really loves log cabins. I am not able to give her an actual log cabin at this point in time but this was a good substitute. The place was clean and the indoor water park was good entertainment despite the weather. While the cabins were wonderful some of the other areas, like the game room could use some updating. The games were outdated and the controllers did not work well. Our water heater was not functioning at first, but maintenance was quick to take care of it, even though it was after 11 pm when we discovered the issue. All the staff was very friendly & helpful. Only complaint is that they were covered with spider webs, it would have been much nicer to have been able to see out of the second story window in the morning instead of seeing a mess of webs.These comments are from a verified stay

I would say that there should be a bit more light outside between the cabins or on the back side of them. Not all the lights worked on the outside of buildings including ours so it made it hard to see outside. Extra lighting would help for safety. The continental breakfast was great as well, and we didn't even have to drive to the ferry boat (Star line) which was directly accross the street.These comments are from a verified stay

We did not have a refrigerator in the first cabin which was needed to keep milk for the baby but the up-grade gave us a frig, microwave and sink. My second grand-daughter loved the upstairs bedroom and her own television. We didn't get in, but it was pleasant to sit by it after a long day of driving. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. The buffet was good but started an hour later than we were told. I'm big on reading reviews and agree the breakfast was accommodating too many people at once. 2 lines would be better. Enjoyed the pool area with the kids. 8 out of 10My family of 6 spent two nights at the Econolodge in Mackinaw City. We had a very nice time and the a menities were very good. The kids spent most of their free time when not sightseeing, in both the outdoor pool and the waterpark next door and made some new friends while there. Although the breakfast buffet was in the hotel next door, it was only a short walk across the car park to get there and the food was good and plentiful. If you got there after about 8am it was very busy but that's to be expected when sharing the breakfast area between 2 hotels and it was specified in the description when booking. Staff were all very friendly and the only minor issue we had was having to ask for extra towels each day. We made a booking for 6 people and the cleaning staff always only left 4 towels. Overall we had a wonderful time in Mackinaw and a very pleasant stay at the hotel and I would recommend it for families.These comments are from a verified stay
