Econo Lodge Bayview MotelEconolodge Bayview #6645 stayed July 2013. Robert from BensenvilleGood Morning - Between July 3rd and July 7th, I had three rooms reserved for three couples, including myself. First let me explain that I made the reservations because the other two couples either didn't have a computer to make them, or had looked into other motels and thought the prices were kind of high. I found the prices to be a little high, but not bad compared to some of the other motels in the area. And, maybe all lodging is going up - I haven't been able to afford a vacation for several years. A couple of years ago I brought my mother to the Mackinaw City area and we stayed at the Best Western on Huron. My mother paid for the trip, so I don't know what the lodging cost at that time. One of the couples complained of a certain odor - I didn't smell it, but it was described as a new construction odor. There were no other rooms available for them to switch. The other couple had a minor problem with water on the floor near the toilet. I didn't see it - it could have been condensation for all I know. I felt the staff took care of it in a reasonable amount of time. As far as my room was concerned - we had one with a jacuzzi. I cost a little more than the other rooms, but it was definitely worth it. The rooms came with passes to the water park (that we didn't use - not enough time, plus it was pretty crowded when we would have been able to go), and that could add to the cost of the rooms. The complimentary breakfast had a good variety of items - I ate there both mornings. I didn't use the outdoor pool, but the other couples did. All in all - I thought it was a very clean place and we had a good experience. Bob and Stacie from Bensenville, Illinois
