Our experience was WONDERFUL. The employees at the Clarion were very friendly and knowledgeable. They referred us to several places which were awesome. Their rooms were very clean and comfortable. Their pool was awesome and very clean. Their breakfast was more than expected.

The front desk team and the cleaning team did a great job. The breakfast was nice and we appreciated the availability and the length of time it was open. Thanks! Overall - great hotel. We also like the opportunity to purchase our tickets prior to arriving and having them at the front desk. Though we did not have the correct tickets upon our arrival the front desk team had the correct tickets for us the next morning.

Our stay was pleasant. We appreciated the cleanliness of the room and the excellent maid service. The nice linens, plenty of pillows & towels and clean carpet offset the somewhat dated furnishings. The pool was clean with plenty of towels. The complimentary breakfast had a nice variety of good hot/cold foods. Our beach-side room had a terrific view so our room was more than just a place to sleep. Consider purchasing the tourist tickets package -- great value. Thank you for a great vacation - we'll be back.

The staff is very friendly and willing to help if you have any issues. The Hotel is easy to get to but it sits at the end of the street and is a bit away from the stores and restaurants but the walk is short or you can drive. The breakfast is OK but nothing to get excited over. Eggs, sausage, waffles, toast and a couple choices of cereal. Milk, coffee and juice for drinks. The room was showing its age but is still in good shape and very clean. I would stay here again.

The room was clean spacious and the staff were friendly. We loved the option of having adjoining rooms as we were traveling with a group and having the connecting rooms in the evening was fantastic. The only drawback was the loud refrigerator. Kicking on and off during the night woke me several times.

We were with a Girl Scout Mother Daughter trip and they were very good with keeping us all together. Some of the rooms were adjoining. All the rooms were clean and nicely furnished.

We enjoyed everything about the Clarion Hotel when we stayed there. The rooms where large and spacious. The bathroom area was quite large to with a fridge. I was expecting a mini fridge not the size that was in the room. The employees were very friendly. The breakfast area was very busy during the time it was open but the staff kept everything neat and filled. We will be staying there again.

The Clarion Hotel Beachfront is my favorite accomodation within the Straits area due to its first class accomodations, professional staff and incredible lakefront view. A fourth floor room with a view at sunrise or sunset is like having your own luxury condo on the beach.

We booked a room at the Clarion online, but the room wasn't available. It showed that it was available the whole time I was booking it. A few minutes later, a gentleman from the Clarion called me and told me it was already booked, and had found me another room at the Hamilton Inn Select and had negotiated the same rates for me. So, AWESOME customer service from the Clarion!! Might need to figure out the glitch in the online reservations though!

Good service, excellent accommodations. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast had good selections and was filling, though we would have liked some fresh fruit, not in a syrup, such as an apple or banana. We would definitely return there for another visit.

Got in late on Friday night and fortunately the pool/hot tub was open until midnight so we could still enjoy it for our 1-night stay. Had a nice room.....2 separate rooms was great for a family of 5. Breakfast buffet was good, they kept things stocked and plenty of room to sit. We'll be back.

This was one of the cleanist hotels of it's kind that I've ever been in. Our room was very nice and the view beautiful. All of the staff that I encountered were polite, cheerful, and helpful. The breakfast had the most variety of any I've seen for this type of hotel, and it actually tasted good. All of the people working as kitchen staff were on the ball and more than happy to get you what you needed or wanted when you needed or wanted it. The rooms were very clean. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. I generally don't sleep well in motel beds, but I fell sleeep quickly and slept all night, every night I was there. The view from the balcony was great. It was everything the website said it was. I will definately stay again.

We arivied late and were assigned a court room as reserved. However, my wife was disatisified as it was an older room. The motel staff worked with us to relocate to a bayview room at a reduced rate. My wife then loved the room and wished we had time to stay longer.

We booked for King size bed our room had 2 Queen the room was nice but it needed to be vacuumed under the furniture better. Had to set the air conditioner at 65 to keep room cool. All in all it was a good stay

We were very pleased with our recent stay here. Upon arrival, the front desk staff was very courteous and informative. Our room was on the top floor on the beach side with a balcony. It was a beautiful room and we were pleasantly surprised to have a vaulted ceiling which made the room seem even bigger. It was the perfect size for our family of 6. It was very clean. The breakfast was fabulous and the staff behind the counter were joyful and positive. In fact, all the staff we encountered had wonderful attitudes and were fantastic. We had a blast at the pool and hot tub. The first night the pool was amazing, it felt like bath water. The beach was wonderful. It was a bit too cool for us to use it this trip, but if it were warmer, I'm sure we would have sat out there and watched the kids play in the sand and swim. We were extremely pleased with our stay at this hotel and would very likely stay there again when/if we return to Mackinaw City.
