rooms were nice though rather worn - lovely balcony and only steps from the beach, but balcony chairs were quite worn out looking as well. Twice had to come back later for breakfast as it was crowded - but summer is very busy and the place very full!! all in all - enjoyed the stay - good location!

I gave a good rating because it was an older hotel the price was resonable compared to other hotels .The breakfast was average.The rooms were clean which is very important.the beach area was a huge plus and there were nice chairs on the beach to use .pool was fine but who needed it when the beach was right there.The thing i liked best about the hotel was it was very centrally located to all the shopping and dining.

Great Location - close to boats going to the island, Mackinaw Crossing and shops in town. Friendly staff Older motel but everything worked and was clean. Grandchild from NV wanted to see the bats, but was informed by Pancake Chef emplayee that it was early for them. Usually mid to late July. We were there in August of 2010 and they were hanging from the storefronts during the day.

The location was wonderful! It was convienent to all the places we wanted to go. The beach was beautiful and the pool was nice. The rooms were clean, but some aspects looked a little dated. The breakfast space could have been larger, which would have helped with the display of the food. The food, however was adequate and the waffles were great.

The hotel was nice and clean. The breakfast could use some improvement. Parking is a problem as they apparently have more rooms than parking spaces.

It's the second time we spent a night at a Super 8. The one in West Branch was a tad nicer though. My wife was woke up a couple of times at night by kids running up and down the hall (outside). The parking area was too small.

This was a nice place to stay. Its near the boats,pirates adventure,and many stores and ice cream parlors. On the last day of my stay it started to storm but it was fine because there was many things to. For example, we went to the mackinaw bridge,it was beautiful! I suggest to wake early on the last day so you can have time to swim before leaving, because on my last day the weather was amazing!

We did not spend very much time at the hotel as we were there for the car show but the place was very neat and clean. Parking is limited. The Continental Breakfast could be better by adding scrambled eggs, etc. Staff was very polite, prompt and helpful.

The room was nice. It appeared to have been recently renovated. The shower in the bathroom had no light source, so you sort of showered in the dark. Otherwise, it was a nice room.

We were actually upgraded to the Hamilton Inn just up the road. Check in was quick, the room was great. We had a huge room, which I thought was a quite a value for what we paid. We did not take advantage of the free breakfast, but did go get a glass of juice each morning, and it looked like the breakfast that was offered was really good. I would recommend to any of our freinds to stay here.

The Super 8 Beachfront was closed for the season. The result was that we actually stayed at the Hamilton Inn and Suites. The Hamilton was a very good hotel and we enjoyed the stay.

Our room was on the beach. After a day on Mackinac Island we came back to fireworks and the best sunrise I have ever seen! Room was clean and size was wonderful. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

The hotel is a good value with a great location. The front desk staff seem uninterested in their jobs and guests. Access to the Pirates Waterpark is a real reason to stay at the Super 8 and they take dogs!!!

We had no issues during our stay here. The room was clean, and the view was beautiful. We did, however, not get what we had specified within our package, but it worked out anyhow. This last comment had nothing to do with the hotel. It was a very pleasant stay, and we would not hesitate to stay there again.

If the breakfast had more options it would have been better. I would stay again as the rooms were very clean and all we needed was a placed to sleep on our way up to Northern Michigan to watch a college football game.

It was wonderful being on the beach and that was a definite bonus that deemed the 'good' rating. That being said, the rooms were well used but clean with a comfortable bed; the balconies were not private in any way but at least we had one that 3 people could sit on and enjoy an evening drink; and the internet did not reach our hotel room. All for a post labour day price of $69. Not bad.
