French Farm Lake Nature Excursions

The hills and valleys of Northern Michigan and Mackinaw City are home to many species of wildlife. One of the most uniquely outstanding outdoor recreation areas in this region is French Farm Lake. Here one can find activities such as birding, equestrian trail rides, and many other outdoor activities that will provide one with the up close and personal experiences that only nature can provide. Hiking is one the more popular activities around French Farm Lake. During these hiking excursions, it is very common to see wildlife like deer, beaver, and the occasional bear among many other species. During the colder, snowy months of winter, these hiking trails are transformed and become some of the area's best cross country ski trails.
