Parade will go north on Huron to Central Ave, west on Central Ave to Nicolet Street and Indian Pathways Park.

35th Annual Zoo-De-Mackinac - Harbor Springs & Mackinaw City, MI

The Zoo-De-Mackinac is a weekend of fun with two huge parties and great bands, a lot of sunshine, one awesome island, a boat ride under the mighty Mackinac Bridge, and one of the most scenic bicycle rides in the country! THIS IS NOT A RACE!! The Zoo-de-Mackinac is a collection of outdoor enthusiasts (2,200+ last year) who want to enjoy a little physical exercise together in one of the most beautiful areas in the state of Michigan. The bike ride starts Saturday morning at Boyne Highlands Resort and spans 51 miles along Lake Michigan on a paved road with very little automobile traffic. Riders pedal through rolling countryside and trillium covered forests, along sandy beaches, and are surrounded by breathtaking views of Lake Michigan from 400' high bluffs. We stop approximately half way, at a unique place called the Legs Inn for a leisurely lunch and to swap stories. The ride continues on to Mackinaw City, where Star Line boats have been chartered for the ride over to Mackinac Island.

Memorial Weekend Pageant & Michigan's Largest Parade

During this weekend in Mackinaw City: Over 400 cast members will re-create events that took place between the French, British and Indian tribes, on June 2, 1763. The Fort Michilimackinac Pageant is the longest running, free historical Memorial Day performance in the Nation. Visitors will meet famous Indian Chiefs: Miniavavan and Matchekewis of the Ojibwa tribe, and Wawatam who becomes a blood brother to Alexander Henry and later saves his life. Mackinaw City’s Grand Memorial Parade is on Saturday.

Memorial Day Observance

A brief and informal Memorial Day observance at Fort Mackinac Post Cemetery on Mackinac Island, to pay tribute to the soldiers who served at Fort Mackinac. Soldiers will assemble at 10:00 a.m. at Fort Mackinac. They will march to the cemetery, perform a short ceremony and salute, and return to the fort. Open to the public.

2025 Annual Lilac Festival on Mackinac Island

The 10-day celebration is the first and largest summer event on the Island. A celebration that blends the Island’s historic varieties of lilacs – many of which were brought here during the Colonial era; distinctive equestrian culture; fine food and drink. Plus a range of other activities, the festival is one of the Island’s biggest attractions.
Festival features days of activities and ends with one of the largest festival parades in Michigan. The lilac parade will be held on Sunday, June 15th, 2025 at 4:00pm.

Port Huron to Mackinac Sailboat Race - Mackinaw City

Skippers may choose to race north on Lake Huron from Port Huron, race the 235-mile Shore Line Course up the Michigan coastline or the 290-mile Southampton Course, which directs sailors toward Southampton Ontario, and then to the finish line at Mackinac Island. The race is viewable from Mackinaw City.
The fastest boats will usually finish Sunday evening

International Ironworkers Festival

The International Ironworker Festival is an annual event held each summer in Mackinaw City. It attracts Ironworkers from across the United States and Canada to compete in friendly competition. It is open to the General Public, although only Ironworkers and Retirees can compete in the skilled events. Corvette Crossroads Auto Show

An American automotive classic, the Corvette, will be celebrated the weekend before Labor Day weekend during the Annual Corvette Crossroads Auto Show. Beginning Friday, Corvettes of various vintages will begin arriving in the area, cruising and getting registered for Saturday’s festivities. On Saturday, hundreds of Corvettes will be on display in Mackinaw City from 10am to 2 pm. A poker walk for show participants will also be offered during the day.
Peoples choice style of judging will determine winners in several different award classes. Winners will be announced at an awards presentation at 3 pm. Saturday’s festivities will culminate with a parade of Corvettes across the Mackinac Bridge, beginning at 7 pm. 2026 Annual Labor Day Bridge Walk

Join thousands of pedestrians as they participate in a long standing tradition, the LABOR DAY BRIDGE WALK. This event has been held every year since 1958. The walk begins at 7:00 a.m. on Labor Day and concludes at 11:00 a.m. This is the only day of the year that walking the "Mighty Mac" is allowed

Great Turtle Trail Run

This year marks the 30th running of one of the most scenic trail events in the state. We have a capacity of 3,000 participants running and walking the inside trails of Mackinac Island during the last open weekend of the season. All who register will enjoy special race features – commemorative medals, race apparel in Great Turtle fashion, special Halloween events for adults and kids!
