The room was clean, the view was great and everything thing functioned just as it should. The free breakfast was quality food with a nice selection of healthy and not so healthy (but desired) items. The staff were friendly and helpful and the price did not break the budget. This was our 5th year in a row we have come up to enjoy the Northern Michigan Autumn and stayed at the Hamilton Inn with out an indecent or disappointment. We had a beautiful view and a small patio that looked out into the beach. The room was clean and and outstanding for the most part was quiet. The Jacuzzi had seen better days. The water continually drained so the time in the hot tub was short lived. Other than that, it was a good place to stay and we enjoyed ourselves. The beach was clean and it had lawn chairs. We sat out at night and enjoyed the sound of the water on the beach. We were able to buy the tickets for Mackinac Island and the hotel was close to the boats so it made it easy the next day to get to the downtown area on time. It was easy to check-in/check-out and there were no extra charges. We would stay there again, without the hot tub.These comments are from a verified stay
