it was a very nice stay. the staff was pleasant, the rooms were clean, the breakfast (even though at a neighboring hotel) was great. the pools were nice also. my 5 year old daughter loved the pirate playland waterpark. everything was very close by. the ferry was right across the street. everything was in walking distance. the breakfast staff were very helpful in whatever you needed. sausage patties, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, make your own waffles, cereal, oatmeal, breads and bagels, fruit cups, yogurt. it was all very good. if you decide to take the historical tour of mackinaw city on the trolley next door, you buy your tokens in the hotel office. one morning, the cleaning staff left a swan made out of a towel for my daughter, very cute, she loved it. overall it was a great stay. the only trouble i had was checking out. make sure that if you have special rates from booking your trip with someone else, you print off your confirmation with prices. also make sure that when you check in that they change the prices on the sheet that they print out. this is where my trouble came in. they did not change the rates and wanted me to pay more, luckily i had my sheets in the car to verify. i would stay here again.

I will admit that I was first cautious about staying here based on some of the previous reviews I had read but decided to continue with our stay. We stayed in the Motel part of the facility. The room was clean and fresh when we first arrived and was cleaned and freshened nicely on a daily basis. The chrome in the bathroom was spotless. The heating and cooler unit worked well since we had to use both during our stay and both the coffee maker and mini fridge were new. There was plenty of hot water and the beds were comfortable. The Free Hot Breakfast was served at the neighboring Comfort Suites and was well prepared with many selections that were continually being resupplied including Scrambled Eggs, Sausage, Biscuits and Gravy as well as the make your own Waffles. Toast, cereal, fresh fruit were also part of the assortment. Food was available all the way till the end of the scheduled open times and then some. That is not always the case with many motelís ĎFreeí breakfasts. The game room and exercise rooms were simple but clean. The Indoor Water Park however was a real hit with our kidís ages 7 and 14. There is a decent pool and a large hot tub area for the adults and older children while the Pirates Splash Park, though designed for younger kids, had even the parents getting wet on the 3 smaller water slides, shot by water cannons and being dumped on by all sorts of tipping water devises. We all had a blast. There is an outdoor pool as well as a small playground for younger kids. The front desk staff was very courteous friendly and helpful even calling you by name when they saw you. At check out there were no surprises and the bill was exactly what it was supposed to be. Overall I would say that we were very satisfied with the motel facilities and staff and would definitely recommend this property to others. This is and Econo Lodge so donít expect a five star hotel, but it is a great value and the location is excellent.

Best price I could find in town, and they still have free hot breakfast, coupons for lots in the area, a waterpark, and we just walked next door for the boat.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights to be there for the Bridge Walk. The motel was very reasonably priced for the popular holiday. He is disabled so did not do the walk and stayed at the motel most of the day and was there while the room was cleaned. The maid was very thorough, the linens were all clean, beds were comfortable and bathroom was clean. The people in the office were very nice and helpful. What more could we ask? The location is very convenient. We will definitely stay there again when we are able to make another trip north.
