The extra discounts provided were a nice bonus, as was the included breakfast. The only downside was people smoking on the beach and/or balconies, which was disappointing, as the facility is supposed to be smoke-free. I realize there's only so much a hotel can do to enforce the policy, especially given the size, but it did detract from the stay nonetheless. Great location, close to everything. The room was clean and the beds were comfy. Indoor pool area was good too, and the private beach was nice, but rocky. I did think the AC was a little weak - it was warm and humid in our room most days, but not unbearable. The breakfast was fine - there were a lot of selections, although they didn't vary at all from day to day. The coffee was terrible though - very weak. A bit more attention to details and I would have rated this 5 stars. For example, the bathroom molding was painted recently. However, there was a stripe of dried paint on the light switch paint. My husband scraped it off with his fingernail in 10 seconds. Also, the new roll of toilet paper was too thick with the refill roll behind it.
