I'd give it a 5-star rating except for one small glitch. The alarm (which we did not set) sounded at 6 AM. This is the second time we've had this happen. Mackinaw City is a great town..... We went on the trolley tour, ice breaker, and the fort. We spent all the rest of our time on the beach. The one think that I thought would increase tourist is free or cheap shuttle service running up & down the main strips. Golf carts or something of the like. $1.00 per ride? $10.00 per day arm band? Just thinking out loud here. I think my family would have ventured out more if we didn't have to walk everywhere.
