Because of Covid, we had to go across the street to a restaurant that was buy one get one 1/2 off. I was very disappointed with the breakfast. The hotel was nice but the ceiling fan made clicking noises and the fridge was turned up all the way so all our food froze. The rooms are right on Lake Michigan, beautiful, clean, comfortable and close to the crossings and ferry. My only request would be to have a microwave in our room. We had lots of leftovers from the local delicious restaurants, but didn't eat them because there was no way to heat them up. The girl at the front desk seemed a little nonchalant about helping us. Checking in was good and she was friendly. Only checked us in. Didn't want to process our package we bought. We bought the Family Fun Package. Told us to come back later. We did and she didn't want to help us and passed us off to another gentleman. He was great. However - no explanation of how the package worked. Just handed us the paper with the "tickets" on it. The paper looks like it is tickets. However, after standing in line for the ferry for 30 minutes we were told it wasn't a ticket only a voucher for a ticket so we had to go stand in line for 20 minutes to get tickets then again for 30 minutes for the ferry. We missed the ferry we wanted and had to wait almost an hour!!!! They need to let you know that that is what you have to do. It's on the beach and closest to the Crossings. The room is clean and recently updated. My only concern is that the front desk staff are not pleasant. They do not make eye contact or smile.
